There is a problem with the pinterhead please help its a lexmark pro705


A firmware update for the Lexmark Prevail Pro705 will help fix the printhead issue you are experiencing. Please follow the steps below on how to successfully update your printer:
  1. Open the printer cover and remove the printhead and tanks (if installed). Note: Carrier will come to the center automatically with this error message as the cover is opened. Printhead is not supported by the all in one

1.Power off the All-In-One (AIO) and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Wait 30 seconds. Then reinsert the power supply and power the AIO on.
Did the error message return?

Yes: Continue to step 2.
No: Attempt a test scan. If the error message does not reappear, the error is resolved.

Did the error message return?

Yes: Continue to Contacting Lexmark.

I get the error 2200 message everytime I try to send a fax

Printer will not print or shut down


reset memory; unplug; plug back in while HOLDING DOWN STOP KEY. This resets/clears memory

tape down the little black plastic lever (usually on left side) so it can't pop back up which causes it to invoke error message "cover open" and "cover closed" who needs a machine to tell a cover is open?

Need to fix urgently lexmark x3470 cover open error. in images if possible.


open operator panel (top piece with electronic display) lift up cartridge cover (the one you lift to change cartridges) there is a small black plastic lever which you can manually move up and down with your finger (usually on left side). take a piece of tape and TAPE IT DOWN so that it can not pop up again (popping up is what triggers the error message (cover open) even when it is closed.
after you tape it down you will never see this error message again, even with the cover up.
who needs a machine to tell you a cover is open? we can SEE this with the human eye.
it is a useless feature. also, check device manager (com ports) to make sure there are no yellow explanation marks (port error) or no printer will work on it. you may have to make a change in bios to assign the port manually to make sure there are no conflicts with the port. nancynerd
