Start with the basics. The bulb may need replacing or a blockage in the fuel tank.Get a different fuel hose first and try that.I hope its a simple problem for you.Good luck

01 Yamaha V Star won't start without choke. It had been sitting for months so I drained the old gas, refilled with fresh gas and fuel enzyme, and installed a new battery. Please help-just purchased! thanks

choke opens up the jets just a little more to squirt more fuel into the chamber during warm up, meaning YOU NEED TO USE THE CHOKE TO START YOUR BIKE!!!

Yamaha vino 125 scooter leaks gas when i try to start it

carb will need cleaning as it sounds like you've got a stuck float valve...it only leaks when you try to start it as the fuel tap only flows when the engine is turning over.
When leaving a bike stood for a while with an empty tank you should put an oily rag into it to prevent rusting...although the correct method is to fill the tank right to the top and add fuel stabiliser.

Will not start, put new gas in it, stabile in gas, new sparkplug, dry gas in gas. Gas left in it over the summer months, so I sprayed some carb cleaner in carb. It just turns over. Drained gas from bulb,...

It is very common for the jets to varnish up (even with StaBil) and carb cleaner can't get into those areas. You can take the carb off and soak it in carb cleaner.
One method that I try before I take it apart is to spray a ONE second blast of starting fluid into the carb throat. Attempt to start the engine. If everything but gas is ok, the engine will start. Do it only one more time, this time with the choke on full and usually this is enough to get the engine running.
Be careful and don't do this more than twice. Starting fluid is very dangerous to use and will ruin your engine if you use more than a one second blast more than two or three times.
Have a fire extinguisher handy if you motor backfires and the carb throws a flame.

HI HAVE YOU CHECKED YOU ARE GETTING A SPARK AT THE PLUG, AFTER THE BIKE HAS BEEN STORED AWAY FOR SOME TIME AND YOU TRY TO START THE MACHINE, DUE TO A COMBINATION OF THINGS THE PLUGS CAN BECOME CONTAMINATED, HENCE FAIL TO SPARK UNDER COMPRESSION, IF THE BIKE HAS STOOD FOR 1 SUMMER I WOULD BE CORRECT IN THINKING YOU HAVE NOW DRAINED THE FUEL AND REPLACED IT WITH NEW, YOU DON,T SAY HOW MANY CYLINDERS THIS ENGINE HAS, OR IF IT IS FUEL INJECTION OR CARBS IF IT IS CARBS THEY MAY NEED TO BE REMOVED AND CLEANED, OR SIMPLY DRAINED BY THE SCREW ON THE LOWER OF THE FLOAT BOWL,

Sounds like your carb. may be gummed up. Did you start the bike and let the carb. get stabilized fuel into it when you parked it?
