Question about Frigidaire Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

We have a Frigidaire range Model #PLES389EC Serial # is 7068604110 and the error code is F30. We have replaced part # 318005212, 318003614, and 318112703 and the range worked fine. I self cleaned the oven and the thermostat went out again, part # 318003614. Is there an upgraded thermostat that should be used. The problem occurs when we self clean the oven. Works great as long as we don't clean the oven. Can you give us some advice?

The fuse on the back of the oven has never gone out. The power supply board has been checked and it is ok. Would the power supply board knock out the whold range? if so why does everything work when the part # 3180003614 is replaced?

No there is no such upgraded thermostat available and also the thermostat of high power then required will not support the unit.so get the proper one which the oven actually has. There is a thermo fuse on the back of the oven.
If the oven gets to hot it will blow/open like a fuse and kill power to the oven.
the main power supply board has to be checked in the oven.if the power supply board is getting short anywhere.it will throw extra current then required on other parts of the oven and due to this the first part that blows is the thermo fuse or thermostat. get the power supply board checked. thanks.please keep updated.please do rate the solution if helped.thank you for using fixya.

this also happens if the thermostat is not fixed properly.or the area where thermostat is fixed is having a short already check out that also.
also if the power supply is short it either blows the thermo fuse or the thermostat.in your case its blowing the thermostat.also get the thermostat track checked on the circuit.every component is having a circuit track on which its fitted.if its blowing then the circuit track will guide where the problem lies.
    thanks.keep updated.

Frigidaire gas stove, oven will not work. Shows F30 code

That is an error with the temperature sensor.
Unplug the unit or turn the circuit breaker off for 60 seconds.
Restore the power to the appliance by plugging it back in or turning the circuit breaker back on. If you still have the problem here is a link to order the replacement part and a video how to replace the part which is fairly easy to do.

I HAVE A F30 ERR DISPLAY ON BOARD AND THE DOOR IS LOCKED. HOW DO I RESET AND GET DOOR OPEN?

Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

If you are getting an error code F30 on your Frigidaire range, it usually indicates an issue with a faulty sensor probe or a wiring harness between the sensor probe and EOC (Electronic Oven Control). You may try and reset your range by disconnecting the power or by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on after 10 minutes. This often clears most false error code. If the error code does not clear, most likely the EOC of your range will need replacing. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

My frigidaire does not heat consistently. F10 fault goes off if it's on for a couple of hours or if we broil. F10 also goes off after cleaning during cool down. F30 goes off after oven is turned off. ...

Good Morning Irene, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

The F10 and F30 error codes are in regards to an open or failed oven sensor. If the sensor and EOC has been replaced, more than likely a professional would need to inspect the wiring harness between the EOC and sensor.

Best regards!

I have a professional series frigidaire stove and it keeps showing an error code of F30. What does this mean?

Hi here is the meaning of the F30 error code. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike

F30
F31
Open probe connection.
Shorted Probe connection.
1. (F30 or F31) Check resistance at room temperature & compare to *RTD Sensor resistance chart. If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD Sensor Probe. Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC & Sensor Probe connector.
2. (F30 or F31) Check resistance at room temperature, if less than 500 ohms, replace *RTD Sensor Probe. Check for shorted Sensor Probe harness between EOC & Probe connector.

Error code F30 on a frigidaire ples389ecc oven.

THAT CODES MEANS EITHER THE PROBE SENSOR OR THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL IS BAD. UNPLUG. WITH WIRING DIAGRAM AND OHM METER, TEST THE TWO WIRES GOING TO PROBE. IF YOU GET ABOUT 1100 OHMS, YOU HAVE A BAD CONTROL. IF YOU GET 0 OR INFINITY, IT'S THE SENSOR OR THE WIRES BETWEEN THE PROBE AND THE CONTROL

Our figidaire electronic stove/oven model PLES399ECD, serial number NF62311528, mfg'd 2/2006 has an error code for F30 when any program is selected. The manual does not list F30, what is F30?

Open (F30) or shorted (F31) RTD sensor
probe/ wiring problem. Note: EOC may
initially display an "F10", thinking a
runaway condition exists.

1- Press Cancel key.
2- Check wiring in probe circuit for possible short or open
condition. Check RTD resistance at room temperature
(compare to probe resistance chart). If resistance does not
match the chart, replace the RTD sensor probe. Let the oven
cool down and restart the function.
3- If the problem persists replace the relay board.

Frigidaire Electric Range error code

Hi jacksmdmat,
Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)
