Depends. first, you need to load the disk that came with it on your computer. then, find music files to put on it. then, go to "my computer" and open the player as a window, after the player is plugged in. then, go into the folder "internal memory", then open "music". then, open up the folder with the files you want to transfer, in a seperate window. then, you drag the files over to the player window, and they automatically start copying over.

SanDisk Sansa C240 1 GB MP3 Player only shows half empty battery picture on screen and wont turn on. So it needs fixing.

Question edited for a lot more clarity.
Question moved from Misc to model category.

Replace the internal Li-Po battery, but try a reset first.

If your Sansa player is freezing, not charging or not turning on, the first thing to try is a reset of the unit. This will normally clear any temporary condition that may cause the player to freeze or not shut off completely, it's a bit like when your PC crashes and you need to re-start it to clear the error.

How can I remove SlotRadio advertisement from my Sandisk Sansa Clip + 8Gb. I can't find any SlotRadio files in both UMS and MTP modes.

You will need to manually reinstall the firmware from the Sansa Website

Current version is 01.02.15 (at this date 1/30/11)

On your clip the version number may be followed with an "a"

Your clip should be at least 50% charged or greater before following these steps

DO NOT use the Sansa Updater

1. Download the current firmware for your Clip+ from the Sansa Website

2. Save the zipped firmware (clipplus01.02.15.zip) to a folder you can easily locate (Downloads)

3. Create a new folder naming it what you wish.. (Sansa Firmware)

4. Open the downloaded zipped file(clipplus01.02.15.zip) using something like Winrar

5. Delete the file clpp_data.dat (This is the slot radio ad)

6. Extract/unzip the remaining file clppa.bin to the new folder (Sansa Firmware)

7. Plug in your Sansa Clip

8. Drag and drop (copy) the clppa.bin file into the internal memory or root of the clip

9. Unplug the clip from the USB port on your PC

10. The firmware will update and the media will refresh.. and you will no longer have the Slot radio Ad on your clip

Good luck

I have three clips.. 2 of the 2 gb.. 1 of the 4 gb and now a plus 8 gb.. and yes..I too found the banner ad annoying as all get out.

How do I get the downloaded music from my computer into the clip?

You have 2 ways to transfer your songs from your computer to your sansa clip:
1. Plug sansa clip to computer, double click on "Sansa Clip ...GB", double click on "Internal Memory", you will see the file "Music", copy your songs and paste them into Music file of the device.
2. Using Windows Media Player: open windows media player, plug sansa clip into computer, click on Sync tab, select songs that you want to sync, drag and drop song selected into "Sync list" on the right side of the windows media player (you should update wmp11), then click on button Start Sync.

Good luck

I have a 4 gb Sansa Clip. How do I switch back

You can go to the main menu on your player and select which one you want to use at a time. Here is a manual that describes everything you need: http://www.sandisk.com/media/175960/clip_um_0608_eng.pdf
Page 6-7 has the menu options/controls that you can use to do that.
