indicates 2 possible faults
no agitation . spinning- indicates a problem start / run capacitor for the motor ( hum )
drain is a separate motor and will not run until drain is activated
and that comes back to the second possible fault
problem program board not progressing to wash cycle
the hum could be a water control solenoid
call a technician for a proper diagnosis
hi, Does the water drain out in the spin cycle? Sounds like the coupler might be bad. Is this a top load machine? Asking questions so I can be clear and give you better info on your question. Please let me know.
you may find that the motor is not going because of faulty capacitor or faulty timer
remove the motor from machine and try running with no loadif it works them maybe the pump is jammed or worse still gearbox is faulty
Check to make sure connection by motor are good sometimes one phase of the motor will go bad that might be the case try the selector switch for agitator speed on different settings
