So I can run a load while I wait for my new switch (like everyone else). It seemed like a bad idea after I thought about it a bit. Thanks.

The pressure switch is what determines at what point the water level is to be shut off. By-passing the pressure switch (if at all possible) would cause the washer to overflow. I do not think the programming of the main control board will allow this feature to be defeated and continue to operate. Why are you trying to by-pass it?

Hi

There is only one Analog Pressure Sensor Switch Part no. W10156252, another one that it has is the water level switch (part no W10415587). I believe you are talking about the first one as that is what error code F35 means (ANALOG PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE). Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Any way to bypass the W10156252 pressure switch? The OEM part number is now W10415587, and is not available until August, 2011. The wiring diagram doesn't give details of the switch. Model...

No you cant bypass the switch. what it does is to stop the flow of water comming in to the washer.
if you short it out water will not turn off and it will overflow. it you open it up you will get no water.
Are you sure the switch is bad. A common problem is that the hose that it is attached to it gets plugged up. have you tried to blow through the hose to see if it is clear.

Hope this answers all your questions

I CAN NOT ORDER PART W10156252 WATER LEVEL PRESSURE SWITCH

That's because it's no longer available. Use part number W10312527 as a comparable replacement. Note that you may have to make a slight modification to the connector for it to work with the new assembly. Several vendors have it on hand. I used Appliance Repair Stop (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PLP6ZY/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title) and received my replacement within days of placing the order.

24032 \ 24036 Top Load Washer my kenmore model 110-24422300 will not start wash cycle. Will fill tub to set level and stop.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-11024422300/0582/0153200?searchedModel=24422300&blt=06

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Newer model Whirlpool / Kenmore washers use a Lid Switch as a safety device. Unless the switch senses that the lid on the washer is closed, the washer will neither agitate nor spin.

Older models only used the switch during the spin cycle.

Try to bypass the Lid Switch by removing the Console and jumping the two outermost pins on the switch.

This is a Whirlpool PDF on how these washers operate. It has a diagram on jumping the switch as well as a detailed section on how the transmission works.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

It also has a troubleshooting guide.

To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire, jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.

Following is a description of how to gain access to the console and how to remove the cabinet if necessary.

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131&osCsid=913ba652cd504fb162f87d892bcb427b

With the jumper in place, try to re-start the washer.

If it works, the Lid Switch is a relatively inexpensive part and only requires you to access the console and remove the cabinet.

I have Kenmore ELite HE5t Model 110. I keep getting an "F35" code and washer does nothing....even pushing the "Stop" button doesn't work..door will not unlock...I have to turn off breaker to open door.

Hi, we also got the SUDS error followed by F35 many times. I replaced the analog water level switch, Wirlpool part number W10156252, and the problem went away. The part is located against the back right corner of the top of the washer after removing the top cover. The part cost $62.99 + $12.95 express shipping from ApplianceZone.net. I have the Kenmore HE3t Steam Washer, model number 110.46752 700 front loader. I was able to run about 6 loads of laundry by unplugging the washer, waiting about 5 minutes, the re-plugging and re-starting the washer. Thereafter, the problem became permanent. I always used HE detergent. The washer was purchased new in December 2007, and the I made the repair in September 2009. I spent about $1300 for the Kenmore H3t Steam Washer, and I am disappointed that it required repair after less than 2 years. My mothers old Maytag washer lasted more than 15 years, and was not susceptible to soap SUDS.

Error message SUD or F35 coming up on screen

Hi,

Just tilt the washer back and prop it up with some wood blocks. Three screws are right on the front at the very bottom. Use a 9/32 socket to remove them. The front cover slides right off. The drain trap clean out is right in the middle. Turn the large white knob counter-clockwise to remove it and clean.

Thank you !!

Washer is not automatically completing any cycle

A couple of suggestions:

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.########) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Second, See the following Sears site to get a PDF version of the Manual:

http://www.managemyhome.com/

Click on the MANUALS tab, enter your model number and you should see options for the manuals.

If this is a basic top load, direct drive washer made by Whirlpool (the first three digits of the model number are 110) See the following Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for these washers.

It has diagnostics / troubleshooting sections as well as testing procedures. If it is the Water Level Switch, you should be able to test it.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

I'd also test the Lid Switch (a common fault) to verify that it is OK.
