How doI set the clock

Setting the Time (Without Date Display) If your vehicle has an AM/FM base radio with a single CD player and preset buttons numbered one through six, the radio will have a clock button for setting the time. You can set the time by following these steps: 1. Press the clock button until the hour numbers begin flashing on the display. Press the clock button a second time and the minute numbers will begin flashing on the display. 2. While either the hour or the minute numbers are flashing, turn the tune knob, located on the upper right side of the radio, clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the time. Instead of using the tune knob, you can also press the SEEK, FWD (forward), or REV (reverse) buttons to adjust the time. 3. Press the clock button again until the clock display stops flashing to set the currently displayed time; otherwise, the flashing will stop after five seconds and the current time displayed will be automatically set. To change the time default setting from 12 hour to 24 hour, press the clock button and then the pushbutton located under the forward arrow label. Once the time 12H and 24H are displayed, press the pushbutton located under the desired option to select the default. Press the clock button again to apply the selected default, or let the screen time out. Procedure For Setting Time Zones For Emerson Clock Radios

Setting The Time, The First Time
IMPORTANT: The first time you connect your new SmartSet® clock radio to
the AC outlet the internal computer will automatically set the time correctly for
the Eastern Time Zone, which is the initial default setting. The display will
scan for a few seconds and then show the correct Day and Time in the Eastern
zone. If you live in the Eastern Time zone, there’s nothing else to do. Your
clock is set correctly and running.
If you do not live in the Eastern Time zone you must change the default zone
display to your own zone. You only do this one time and the SmartSet® will remember
the new default zone setting and will always return to that setting after a power
interruption.
There are 7 time zones programmed into your SmartSet® clock radio as follows:
ZONE 1 — Atlantic Time
ZONE 2 — Eastern Time (Default Setting)
ZONE 3 — Central Time
ZONE 4 — Mountain Time
ZONE 5 — Pacific Time
ZONE 6 — Yukon Time
ZONE 7 — Hawaiian Time
To change the default time zone display, depress the Time Zone button.
The number “02” will appear on the display
indicating that the default zone is ZONE 2,
Eastern Time

HOW DO I CHANGE THE TIME

Refer to the section of your owner's manual that addresses the car radio. Each car radio is different in the way you set the clock. If you've installed a car radio other than the one that was manufactured with the car, consult the manual for that radio.

    • 2

Know that if this is the first time you're setting the clock or are setting the clock after installing a new battery in your car, you have to set the hour and the minute of time. Often, you set the clock with either the radio station up or down arrows. On some car stereos, you use the CD track selector buttons for setting the clock.

    • 3

Using either the CD or radio selector buttons, set the hour first. Push the button labeled "Set" or "Clock" and then set the minute with the same procedure. When setting the minute, some manufacturers allow you to move through in increments of five by pressing and holding the button. If the time of day were 2:49 p.m., for example, you would push the button 13 times, including nine times to display :45, then four additional times incremented by one to display :49. Push the "Set" button or the "Clock" button.

    • 4

Determine whether your car stereo is equipped to automatically change when Daylight Saving Time begins and ends. If it hasn't changed at 2 a.m. of the time-changing date, you know it isn't equipped for this. In that case, set the hour either forward or backward and the appropriate time of the year.

If you can't figure out how to set the clock on your car stereo, wait until noon on any given day, disconnect your car battery and reconnect it.

Press and hold down alarm time, setup menu will display, using the arrows of tune/playlist, press the + button until either 12 or 24 hour time displays, then use the - or + to change to which time is desired. Then your clock is set to whichever time you chose.

Sangean h2o1 clock is flashing. The radio display doesn't flash - only the clock. I've reset the clock, changed the batteries, and generally played with the other settings. Can't figure out why the time...

Here's the thing: When you change the batteries, the radio thinks you need to reset the time, even though the time has been preserved and is correct even after you change the batteries. Here's what you do: Pretend you need to reset the time. With the radio off (recommended), press and hold the "Band" button with the "set" notation underneath it. The hour will flash. "Reset" the hour by using the tuning buttons, as you would if the radio were new, and then change it back to the correct hour. Press the "Band" button again and repeat the process for the flashing minute display. Press "Band" again to end the process. You will have successfully fooled the H201 into thinking that you have reset the time, and the time display will have stopped flashing. (This does not appear to work if you do not actually pretend to change the hour and minute and just keep pressing the "Band" button -- you have to go through the procedure as though you were actually changing the time.)
