I have a Pixie sewing machine that will not sew. It appears that top thread is not connecting with bobbin thread. When I just slowly turn the hand wheel I am hearing a little snap and I feel a little...

If you are sure that you are using the correct needles and they are
correctly inserted, have the timing of the bobbin case checked on your
machine.

The bottom thread gets loose and tangles, just the bottom stitsch is not proper

This can happen when the machine is threaded with the presser foot down.

What looks like a problem with the bobbin thread is actually the top thead not seating into the tension control during threading.

When the foot is up, the tension opens and accepts the thead. When the foot is down, the tension is closed and then when you sew, the loose top thead cannot form a tight stitch with the bobbin thread and it is pulled to the bottom.

Thread goes off screw when i start sewing

Could it be that the feed dogs are down? I also have the 15358 and when I opened the bobbin area to clean it, I had this problem. Apparently, when you open the clips around the outside of the casing, it pushes the lever that adjusts the feed dogs to the right (lowering them). I didn't even realize it at first. Check your manual for adjusting this lever to raise the feed dogs. That might solve your problem.

Sears Kenmore Sewing machine model 15358 Just got this machine brand new yesterday. I've gone through the manual very carefully to make sure the machine is threaded properly. It's very similiar to my old...

The tensions must match ie. top tension =bottom tension. If the material is not sewn together tightly, that means the tensions are mismatched. Sewing machines will sew whenever the top and bottom tensions are equal (be it very tight or very loose).

We usually advise the customer to not touch the bobbin case tension. When that is not changed, all tension adjustments can be made from the top tension above the needle.

It appears that one of the two tensions (top or bottom) is much tighter then the other. I would reset the tensions to how they came, if you are unfamiliar with sewing machines this may take a little bit of experimenting until you get it back to a standard quality stitch.

The other option would be bring it to a sewing tech. A good mechanic should be able to adjust the machine and your tensions to your fabric (and recommend needle size for your thread/materials) in about an hour.

My sewing machine makes globs of thread on the underside of the fabric

This happens to me when the machine is not threaded correctly, make sureyour machine is threaded right, then adjust tension if it still happens.
