Problem for Samsung RM255LASH Side by Side Refrigerator
Samsung model rm255 display not working after power outage
I had a power outage, and the display started flashing between "89" and "98" continuously. I opened a closed the doors a few times and it started to function normally again. Now after another power outage, it is doing the same thing. I have tried unplugging it for 5 minutes, hit every combo of buttons, but no change. None of the buttons on the control panel work, although I do have ice and water supply. Is there a way to reset this or is there a fried componant somewhere...

Press the power freeze and power cool buttons at the same time for 8 seconds and more and check out.its the reset procedure.

also press and hold the top left and top right buttons (which are for the temp in each section) for about 5 seconds to reset.

If the flashing bar is the top of the right side 8 in the refrigerator side display this means the sensor is bad in the ice maker.. as per you mentioned between 89 and 88 this means ice maker sensor is gone bad.

if the sensor looks ok then
check the frig fan and the thermistor near the top light and clean out all the ice collected near the fan and in that area.
