    These three wires just pass through with no ther connections.

    Orange -> Orange
    Blue -> Blue
    Yellow -> Yellow

    These four connect to the air handler and continue to the heat pump
    Except for the Green wire, it stops at the air handler.

    Green -> Green(in some models)
    White and Brown from thermostat are twisted together -> White
    Red -> Red
    Black -> Black

    At the Control board (Evcon 9218-374):

    Red -> R
    White -> W2
    Orange -> O
    Yellow -> Y
    Black -> C
    Blue -> L "???"(in some models)

check the thermostat setting on back for electric heat. sounds like it is on gas heat. the fan should turn on right away if it is electric or heat pump.

Our coleman evcon furnace has started clicking over & over again before it starts up, we replaced the thermostat & the same thing happens.We are afraid that this is hard on the furnace & have resorted to...

Suspect that the igniter is causing the clicking (or could be a relay). Suggest having the furnace serviced. There is also a major recall for some models of the Coleman Evcon furnaces.

Sounds like it isn't getting a call for heat. If you have a digital thermostat it could be the problem. I have seen them look like they are working but burn out. A simple way to check is take the stat off the wall. There is 2 wires. It's low voltage so don't worry about shock. Touch and hold them together. If it fires up change the t stat. On a . 2 wire it makes no difference which goes to W or R

I have a lennox 2 stage gas furnace and a lennox XP15 heat pump controlled through the Lennox 7000 touchscreen thermostat. I want to disable the heat pump due to excessive noise due to lower temperature...

At tstat press options. Press installer setup. Yes, you are qualified. System settings, non heat pump. Gas/ oil heat. Save changes. That should do it with no wiring changes.

Wiring from thermostat to furnace

Typically you normally will have five wires controlling your furnace and airconditioning. R Y W G C. If you get some thermostat wire. Connect them like this---- red wire will go to R(this is your 24V to thermostat)----yellow wire will go Y(Y is your cooling)----white wire will go W(W is for heating)---green wire to G(green is your fan)---black can go to C(this is your common to supply 24Vto thermostat)
