Hi,

Dell XPS/Dimension 600 PC has slots for memory cards. See the attached image:

I have a Dell 600m computer. I want to download - ba177bd.png

Also, some PC versions might not have the in-built memory card slots. So, you hane to purchase an external card reader to view the files from your camera memory card.

Hope this solves your problem. For more help and clarifications, please reply to this post. Thanks

    Hi Shirley,

Please confirm your model number. You have selected Dell Latitude D600 PC Notebook from the products list menu but the model number provided in your decription is Dell 600m PC. Please reply with the complete model number. Thanks.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Your laptop does not have an in-built memory card slot. So, you will have to purchase an external memory card reader which you will have to plug in to the USB port of your laptop.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.

Even this model does not have an in-built card reader. So the solution will be the same as earlier.

    Thans once again.

I can't download pictures to My Pictures

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

If you are using a card reader of some sort (other than using the camera to download the images), it may not be SDHC compliant. Have you tried using the camera to download the images via the supplied cable? If you've taken the images in RAW format, that could also be the problem. Try using a 2gb or smaller card in the camera to take some images and then download them using your usual method. If it works with the 2gb card but not with the 4gb, it's likely your reader isn't SDHC compliant.

It doesn't matter to the camera what software you have on your computer.
