Some compressors have mounts through the bottom bar . . . might be worth seeing if they are loose but normaly it is a case of the compressor turning off causing the clunk not a major issue to worry about that the moment

That's usually mounts inside the compressor. It could still last awhile so if you can put up with the noise just wait for it to quit before replacing the compressor or getting a new fridge.

I have a 1988 chevy silverado that makes a loud clunking noise when it starts, after it starts the noise is gone, only in the starting prosess it makes the noise


Try looking for loose or disconnected rear suspension components and check the starter bolts for loose or missing . Can you feel or tell where the noise is coming from? Meaning front, middle or back of vehicle, left or right side?

Your problem is very common.
you need to have your u-joints also known as universal joints. that is what the clunking noise you are hearing.

Refridgerator freezer is making noises


Hello, your refridgerator in most likely in defrost cycle. the noise your hearing is the water dripping on the hot heater and ice dropping off the evaporator. should only last 15 minutes and then your all set. Mike

Yes, it certainly can be, especially in high humidity. Run AC just about 1/4 way from max and crack the windows. The ac will work better and ice up less.
