Re: jenn air oven

Convection ovens are designed to not operate when the door is not closed you must first repair the door so it closes correctly it is a safety design.

Fault code f9 appears

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code F9 means Door latch supervisory- Check door lock circuit or rebuild clock assembly (also called the ERC).
You can clear this error code by replacing door latch assembly completly, before that you can check the latch wiring.

And, if door is stuck and you are unable to open the door then take a long hard wire & make a small hook at one end and insert it from the left side gently for the door latch hook and pull it over to un latch the door. After this restart the gas range and check if code appears again, if its still there then replace the door latch assembly completly.

Please do rate the solution & revert for further assistance.

What does F9 mean? Won't allow me to use the oven

F9 -It is a Door latch fault code

Check door latch components. The stove is not detecting a proper door close.Or else there might be some metal blocking the door from closing. It should solve itself in few hours else you might have to replace the door latch system.Good luck with the machine. Please do post comments. Also do rate the solution.Thank you in advance.

I get failure code F9-3

What a scam by service personnel.
-Simply press "Stop/Clear", then gently push the door handle until "Lock" appears on the screen. Press "Stop/Clear" again and the door unlocks itself!

I am getting a F9 on front of my oven

We solved this by holding in the door/light switch, hitting "clean", then pressing stop/clear for about 3 seconds.

Jen air locked latch after cleaning

I finally got my oven to work properly by shutting off the breaker and resetting the main clock. Cured the always locked problem as well as the beep twice when self cleaning.

Have to repeat this every few months since the problem seems to come back.

Oven door locked, F9 indicator signal

Monster, F9 is the door locked error. Try turning off the breaker for 30 seconds and see if it resets. If not, you are going to have to get a coat hanger, make a U at one end and slip it between the door and latch from the left. Once you feel the latch, give it a tug and the door should open. Try resetting the board again with the door open and see if the lock mechanism homes. If not you will have to check the cam and switches for problems. back.
