I'd bet beer on a wire being broken on the back of the pad. I have fixed a bunch of them. take the back off ...access the two wires on the back of the pad and resolder the broken wire. There is some white silicone over top of the wires but you can just pick it off. after you resolder the broken wire put something on over top (I use a product called household goo, or shoe goo...same stuff) this will help stabilize the wires so they don't break again. the drum kits are not made well for something your suppose to hit with sticks!

I bought drums at a garage sale. I thought they were for Rockband Wii. I bought Rockband 1 for Wii, but I can't get the drums to sync. The screen keeps indicating it can't detect a microphone,...

If the buttons that you have are 1, 2, A, B, then you have the Rockband drums for Wii (the ones for Xbox have X, Y, A, B). You don't need a microphone to play Rockband, you just need to have a Wii remote on when you start the game. That should get rid of the pesky "Can't Detect Microphone" message and let you get to the main game screen to play the rest of the game. Have fun!

The red drum pad is not working on my wii rockband

Make sure the batteries are fresh, if yes then the sensor in the pad is broken which can happen due to the nature of the controller (you hit it with a stick) Unless you feel comfortable taking the unit apart it is time for a new drumpad set.

I am using the ION drum rocker with my Wii Rockband 3, i have lost the ability to use my drum pads (or cymbals) to navigate through the game. The ION game controller works fine so that i can still play...

There is an option in the game menu to only allow the controller to navigate. My guess is you have this option set.

Go to Menu (Start button)
Modifiers
check the Drum Navigation option.

Should work...hope that is problem and this helps !

Having problems with Nintendo Wii Beatles game. It allows for only one device (guitar, microphone, drums etc.) to be conntected. When the guitar is plugged in it does not recognize the mic and when the...

I dealt with Beatles Rockband Wii on 2 systems with 2 different configurations.
  1. Wireless Drum kit configuration. The Drum USB Transmitter has 2 additional USB ports, that allow Guitar/mic to be connected, plus there is the remaining USB port on the Wii
  2. Wired Drum kit comes with a 4 port USB hub, connect the hub to the Wii, and connect all instruments to the USB hub.
The Wii will only allow 4 controllers connected at once. So if you have multiple Wii Motes, then you may have to disconnect all but the one used for the Mic player (Press 1 on the Wii mote to unsync or remove the batteries)

Wii Rockband needs repair!

After searching around on the internet, I've found a guide that seems to cover the steps to repair unresponsive drum pads. It provides a few simple fixes, and some links for how to fix other problems with the Rock Band instruments.

Unresponsive Drum Pad Guide: http://www.instructables.com/id/Rock_Band_Drum_Pad_Repair/

Guitar Strummer Guide: http://www.instructables.com/id/Rock_Band_Strummer_Repair/

The main guide: http://www.instructables.com/id/Rock_Band_Instrument_Repairs_and_Modifications/

If you're unable or unwilling to try fixing it yourself, I would suggest checking places like hobby stores, electronics supply (like Radio Shack) stores, or a individually owned and operated video games store, if you're lucky enough to have one. Places like these often have people who are willing to perform modifications and repairs on electronics at reasonable prices. If all of these options fail, my last suggestion would be to check out a nearby university, especially if the university has electrical, mechanical, or computer science engineering programs; I myself am a computer science engineering student, and I know several of my fellow students who do things like repair electronics in their free time as a hobby.

Hope this helps,

-Nick F.
