Possible Incompatibility with WMP 11: Deleting Recorded Files

All right. I have a YP-T7JX mp3 player, and it (for the most part) works well. However, I have lately been having problems deleting recorded files. If I ever want to delete an audio recording, I end up having to format the entire device - which is really very annoying. I used to be able to move and delete audio recordings simply by accessing the player via Windows Explorer, but now that doesn't work. I then tried using Windows Media Player to move audio recordings (syncing them), and that DOES work, but upon attempting to delete the file, I get a nice notification saying something along the vein of "Windows Media Player cannot delete this file". When I try to delete audio files from Windows Explorer, a notification pops up that says something like "V001 cannot be deleted. The device has stopped responding". But: here's the rub: I had downloaded WMP 11, and after downloading 11, it seemed like the problems started. I've checked the firmware and any other download from, but to no avail. Help, please?

I can't delete recorded files from my Samsung YP-U3 Player. I'm asked "delete"? and press >> but it keeps moving from "yes" to "no" and doesn't delete.

Try this solution to your problem.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

you may have to reformat the MP3 player by clicking on the drive its listed under and right click and go to Format. Formatting is done with FAT, not NTFS. This will remove any games or other data on it too. Sometimes the reset thing might work. In general, anything you erase from it using a computer should erase off the MP3 player too.

Samsung YP-Y7JX

Have you tried deleting this 4MB ? ... try it.. if it didn't work.. then hard-reset your MP3 Player, because there is an error in your DB structure caused by false-copying or power spike... something like that.
