Check whether the Numlock , Caps lock, Scroll Lock, lights are turning on when u start your computer. If they are not blinked at the start up of your computer, then the keyboard is not getting the power. If they are turning on and Num lock light also is not turned on at the desktop your keyboard has to be replaced.
