Hello, I have an Insignia 46" lcd TV. Model # NS-46E481A13. I get green pixelation on the dark colors and it is constant. Bright colors work fine though.

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Insignia 42 lcd hdtv purple pink screen

If DVD input works likely a issue with the signal.

If using a cable or sat box or even a receiver inline--unplug each and after several minutes plug back up to allow each unit to try to reboot.

If using component connections from box or receiver they may be the issue or not. In that case if a box is feeding signal via component or even HDMI the box (if reboot does not fix this) may be bad.

Another simple test if cable is used with a box is disconnect cable going to the box and connect directly to set--that way you will know if box is or is not the problem.

Color and picture is distorted. Colors are predominately bright green, yellow and pink. Sometimes color will clear but picture is still fuzzy.

The color on my tv is mostly pink. Is this

Try a reset to factory defaults. Show some image with lots of white. If it is still pink, it could be the backlights starting to fail. Or a circuit board. To be sure, you would have to disconnect the LCD panel from the board and turn on the set so that you have a blank white screen....with no signal. A pink screen, backlights are bad.

There are horizontal color bands (red, yellow and purple) scrolling from the bottom to the top of my 32" insignia flat creen TV. i've owned the set for a year and it has been perfect up till now. anyguess...

sounds like you have some lines of dead pixels, is this an LCD screan or a plasma screen? if it's LCD then it is dead or stuck pixels, check your owners manual and there should be a section on stuck pixels if its and LCD tv.

Check all the cable connections while the TV is on, both at the TV, and what the cable is connected to.

I suspect the problem is in the TV, and you'll have to wait for the Geek Squad.

I doubt leaving the TV on caused this, and good thing it happened when it did.

GREEN SPOTS IN PICTURE

Are they spaced evenly?

If so, an IC responsible for control of the individual pixels has failed.

If not - well, I can't think of anything that would cause a random appearance of any color.

sounds like a color balance issue. Check the menu, do a degauss...and then check for the color temperature (reset for default)..
