PAIRING A PHONE WITH YOUR 2009 Silverado

Before you begin:

To take advantage of the Bluetooth for Chevrolet functionality, you must first pair a Bluetooth-enabled phone to a Bluetooth-enabled vehicle.

Note: If you do not pair a Bluetooth-enabled phone, all calls will be made using OnStar® Hands-Free Calling.3

Some additional tips:

1. You can pair up to five phones with your 2009 Silverado.
2. Your system automatically recognizes the first phone you pair. To use a different paired phone, you must
select it using the "Change Phone" command.
3. Only one paired cell phone can be connected to your system at a time.
4. When the vehicle is in motion, you cannot pair a phone.
5. Pairing should only need to be completed once (unless changes to the pairing information have been made, or the
phone is deleted).

PAIR YOUR PHONE

Set up phone - Turn Bluetooth 'ON':

1. From the main screen, select "Menu"
2. Select "Settings & Tools"
3. Select "Connections"
4. Select "Bluetooth"
5. Select "Setup"
6. Select "Power"
7. Select "On"

Set up vehicle - Enter 'Pairing' mode:

1. Press and hold the Push to Talk button for two seconds
2. Your system will respond with a "Ready" message followed by
a tone
3. Clearly say "Bluetooth"
4. Your system will respond with a "Bluetooth ready" message
followed by a tone
5. Clearly say "Pair"
6. Your system will respond with instructions and a four-digit
Personal Identification Number (PIN); you will need to enter
this PIN on your phone

Begin the pairing process on your phone:

1. From the main screen, select "Menu"
2. Select "Settings & Tools"
3. Select "Connections"
4. Select "Bluetooth"
5. Select "Hands free"
6. Select "Look For Devices"
7. Select "General Motors"
8. Select "Yes" to bond with General Motors
9. Enter the PIN code provided by the vehicle
10. Select "OK"

Finish the pairing process in your vehicle:

1. The system will prompt you to give a name to your phone
2. Say a name that best describes your phone (example: Corey's
phone); this name will be used to indicate which phone is
connected
3. Your system will ask you to confirm your name
4. If you confirm that name, the system will respond with the
message: "'<Phone name>' has been successfully paired"

My V3 razr bluetooth is on but is not found by another bluetooth phone. What gives?

Make sure your phone is set to discoverable. The bluetooth may be on, but your phone needs to make itself visible to other devices otherwise they can't find your phone. It has that ability to prevent unauthorized pairings.

I can't my new bluetooth headset to work on my v3 razor phone.

You probably need to do pairing again. Watch the video on how to pair RAZR to the bluetooth headset on www.HandBookLive.com. The direct link to this video is http://tinyurl.com/aprhqp

SD card not recognized and Bluetooth not working. Motorola V3

Did you redo pairing after you reinstalled the card?
Not sure if that's your problem, but it's worth a try. Also, if you forgot how to do pairing, there are video instructions on www.HandBookLive.com under Electronics category. Either Bluetooth video or RAZR vs video. RAZR v3 video has chapter on pairing at the very bottom of the playlist (chapter 20 or so)

BLUETOOTH

hi judy

you mean pair with your razr

you need to enter the password when they pair for the first time. the default code is 0000 or 1234 for most bluetooth devices so make sure u do that on the phone or the car then you should be fine.

good luck
