I Have a Grundig 300 Mini handheld radio. I accidently dropped it in the toilet and the water from it got inside it and damaged it. The AM and the display went out but can that be repaired?

sad to say but it probably is not worth what it would cost . try drying it in a bucket of dry rice for a few days . if it does not work after that discard and get a new one

What To Do if I Drop My Cell Phone in Water?

The small convenient size of cell phones unfortunately also makes these electronics accident-prone, especially when it comes to water. If you drop your cell phone in water it is often possible to salvage it. If you drop your cell phone in water, you may have only seconds to retrieve it, so you need to act fast even if it means retrieving it from the toilet!

The next thing to do if you drop your cell phone in water is to remove the battery immediately without even hesitating to turn off the power. Dry the batter with a towel and set aside to dry thoroughly. The battery itself may or may not work again, fortunately batteries can be replaced fairly inexpensively. Even if the battery does work, it is a good idea to get a new one.

After you have removed the battery, dry off the cell phone with an absorbent towel as best as you can. Use cotton swabs to soak up water in crevices and on any fragile, exposed circuits. It is also helpful to disassemble it if you can and let all the parts dry separately. Just be sure that you know how to put it back together. If it is a flip or sliding cell phone, leave it open.

If you drop your cell phone in a beverage or in salt water, rinse the phone off with fresh water once you have removed the battery. Once you drop the phone in water, the additional rinsing will not do further damage, however, minerals or other materials will.

If you drop your cell phone in liquid that isn’t pure water, you may want to try giving it an alcohol bath. The alcohol will displace minerals and microscopic substances as well as aiding in the evaporation of the fluid. If it is available, you should use an alcohol concentration of 95% rather than rubbing alcohol that usually contains only 70%.

Once your phone is clean, leave it in a warm dry area or near an air conditioner for three days before you attempt to replace the battery and turn it on. This is very important, because although you may think that you have thoroughly dried it, the slightest moisture can react with the battery and cause it to short circuit. If droped your cell phone in water, and want to save it, resist the temptation of turning it on to see if it is working until you have waited at least 72 hours.

Hi my Samsung ES67 was working perfectly until I accidently dropped it into water! Ive dried it out and re charged it but it appears to have died! Is there any solution for this problem?

What kind of water...fresh or salt? How did you dry it out? The proper method is to bury it in a bowl of dry rice for a week. Did you try to turn it on too soon? If so, you could have caused a short circuit.

I accidently dropped my Audiovox DV D Player Remote Control in the bathtub. Now it doesn't work.

take out the batteries.take it apart and rinse and dry all the pc board.leave for 24 hours.reassemble.
you would be shocked how many times they work. why? bathwater is not pure water and conducts electricity as the salt from the body makes it conductive.
once it dries out,it may work

How do i fix my phone that i dropped in water without going to a shop?

Unfortunately, water and electronic devise don't mix.
You can try placing your phone in a plastic bag with uncooked white rice and let it sit for about a week.
then maybe it will dry out and you can try another battery.
Your battery is almost certainly toast.
Try a new battery and Pray it comes on.
If not, Buy a new phone, water damage is very hard to fix.

If this helps please leave me a vote

Sea Water problem

You'll need to buy another camera. If it had of been fresh water you could dry it out and MAYBE it would work, however, salt water shorts out the electronics. (salt conducts electricity, blah blah blah.)You could try putting it in fresh water since you can't make it any worse, then let it dry out and see what happens. In my experience, salt equals death.
