Look at the old trigger and see where the spring has been rubbing. Place the spring around the trigger post and slide it into the trigger housing. With help of a small screw driver or scribe to flip the trailing end of the spring over the stop post in the housing. Hope this helps

How do I repair a non-functioning solution trigger

The trigger has tabs on each side that snap into slots in the handle so that the trigger pivots in the slots. The slots where the trigger pivots may have broken, if so the trigger will not push the valve open and allow the water flow. If the tabs are broken you will need to replace the upper handle. If you supply me with your model number I will determine the proper part for your model.

When can I order a conical spring for the trigger?

Keep calling the company, somebody has to know where they can get you that 'spring', after all it's the customer service that makes a good company great ! Can you make one for a paper clip or something else, maybe a spring on a clothespin? Keep thinking, you'll come up with something.

DeWalt D51823 nailer leaks air and shoots continusously

Common problem with dewalt due to vinyl orings. Simple tests to determine if trigger valve may work before re-installing. With trigger valve in hand, depress the trigger pin and hold. The bottom of the inner spool is visable in the opposite side from trigger pin and should move inward slightly with little effort when you push it (spool should have almost no movement inward before making contact with body of valve ). If the spool moves inward 1/16 to 1/8 inch, most likely the oring is too worn and not making contact with body of valve (when under pressure, this spool is held against body of valve (closed), and will open when pin is depressed (firing pin pushes on the spring and spring pushes open the valve) ). Next take valve apart and pull out the spool (spool should be difficult to remove from lower body of valve). With spool in hand push upper part of spool into the cap, should fit snuggly. trigger pin has two orings. The upper oring should fit snuggly into cap and lower oring snuggly into spool. The two orings on the pin are made of vinyl and fail. Notice that the spool has a small hole at the bottom. If the pin oring s bad air will leak past pin. Replace with 2mmx1.5mm black oring. After replacing the two pin orings, make sure the pin fits snuggle in the cap and spool, if not , replace the whold valve. The spring is usually good, but if rusty, replace the whole valve unless you happen to have the exact spring in good condition. The two outer orings on the body of the valve do not have to be replaced unless cut. Good luck

My framing nailer shoots out 2 nails at a time

Assuming that you are using the correct nails. This will usually happen if you have bump-fire trigger and are trying to place the gun on the work then pull trigger. Replace the safety spring if weak and bump-fire only (spring should be very firm). If you have single fire trigger, replace the trigger and the trigger valve for good operation. If you have always been bump-firing and now double firing, replace the safety spring and trigger orings. Good luck

D51850 framing nailer leaks air

Dewalt uses vinyl looking orings that begin to just melt, unlike the black rubber orings. I usually replace about four orings within the gun and two within the trigger. Remove the head and pull out the cylinder by gently prying up on the white cylinder seal. Place the cylinder on workbench with bottom side up. Take picture to the unit or draw diag. with placement of parts. Push down on the spring loaded retainer and remove the oring. The orings that you need to replace are under the white cylinder seal. Larger is 75mm x 3mm (or 74.4mm x 3.1) , smaller is universal oring # 141 (58.42mm x 2.62mm). There could be other failing orings in the head (vinyl orings will look streached out if bad, but do not need to replace of good) . The two orings in the trigger are also vinyl and fail often. Replace with 2mm x 1.5mm or measure because of many different trigger valves (or replace trigger valve, not expensive). Good luck

The spring in my trigger flew out. how do i put it back

The n60fn uses two triggers, rapid fire trigger (black metal) is pictued with your post and does not need a spring. Just replace the 3 mm roll pin that holds trigger to the body of the gun and you should be good to go. The other trigger is the white plastic sequential. The sequential trigger uses a fine spring between the trigger and centered on the tva6 trigger valve. Parts and breakdown at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Good luck
