Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Toshiba Satelite laptop that was purchased brand new in July 2008. Now it's shutting down all by itself. I have free AVG that is continually up and scans daily and I keep all the windows firewall and security up as well. when I try to get it to come on/up it makes a loud blowing noise on the right side of the computer, sounding like it's around my cd drive...not the fan because it is housed on the left. Any ideas as to what could be going on? I'm sorry I don't have more specifics on the system as I can't get it to come up in order to get the info.
I see this all the time with those laptop in my shop. Get a can of air and blow out the dust from the fan. The cpu is over heating and shutting down the pc, this is by design
