It may be you need some kind of repairs.
Since this is a fairly new camera (and expensive as well), I would suggest you to either email or call Nikon support or the repair department for information and possible repairs.
If you still have warranty on this unit it may be covered.
The support department may also be able to help on why it won't turn on.

If you can get to the menus, it may be possible to reset all to default.
One more thing, is to check the battery. Some of these cameras had defective and batteries with potential problems such as shorts. Nikon will replace any defective batteries.

D90 won't work. Blinking Clock in top LCD panel.

First, turn the camera off and then remove and reinstall the battery. Turn the camera back on. If the clock and battery icons still appear, try resetting the clock. If this doesn't work, contact Nikon technical support at www.nikon.com and see what they have to say. It may require a repair but determine if the camera is still under warranty. If so, Nikon may repair it at no charge.

Nikon D90. blinking "clock" sign in the top LCD panel. Any advise?

Sounds like you may have a circuit failure. Possibly the phase switch but that is not the usual symptom. In any case this should be sent to Nikon as they stopped selling parts a year ago, and also you need their proprietary software to initialize a new board if it is replaced.

Could you provide some details? How does it not work? Does the D90 not turn on? Does it take a picture but the flash doesn't go off? What exposure mode(s) are you using?

Battery icon flashes even though it is not drained. usually when using flash

Hi,I am afraid you battery is not working properly.Since flash drains more amps your battery will go down quickly and therefore battery icon starts flashing .Battery may not hold the charge as supposed to be..Pls try with another battery ,you will see it will work properly..

Nikon D90 battery reset

Seems as if you've killed the battery. You might try charging it again.

Does the camera work with a different battery? If so, I'd just buy a new battery and toss the old one.

Nikon D90 Memory Card Access Blinking

It's a deadly common problem of D90. Fixation:Simply go to the DSLR repair shop and ask them to change the power circuit board of the camera. Will take $60-70 if the board available. Reason of issue:The power control IC get short and feedback the battery power to the battery causing the draining out and other problem like the top LCD back lamp turned ON after turning on the camera. Careful:To avoid this issue in future, after full charge of the battery, do not put it in the camera right then. Wait for the battery to cool down for 5-10 min and then put it in. With the full charge, the battery hold high ampere for a short time. It could damage the power distributor IC suddenly if you put it in the camera right after a full charge. Metz 58 AF with Nikon d90 wont flash

Hi, Bad news for you.

Try this.
  1. put new batteries in flash.
  2. turn flash on off camera.
  3. listen for capacitor to squeal (high pitched whistle). If you hear it it is charging. If not capacitor is bad.
  4. Also should see flash ready light come on. If it does not same as #3 above.
  5. If you pass #3 & 4# above press manual flash/check/test button on flash. No flash means bulb is out. It can be replaced.
Hope this fixed ya. Please rate. Good Luck! Comment back if you need further assistance.
