Question about Vacuums
Hi i have a vax mach 5 model number VZL 7015 it has started to make a noise like revving n it gets lounder and it stinks of burning but it still sucks up! i wont use it no more i thought maybe the belt but i dont know how to get into it to see the belt any help appriciated ty
My mach 5 has lost suction and the brushed are spinning

The revving/burning is because the belt is burning off and the power head motor is running without load...
Flip the carpet power head upside down on the rug and look for visible screws and screwdriver release slots on the bottom plate of the head.
When you remove the burned belt determine the cause. Will the brush roll freely or is it jammed with hair and fiber?. Clean the burned rubber from the motor shaft before replacing the broken belt, available at a vac specialty shop.
