RE: MS-100.RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1990 BOAT WITH THE FOLLOWING MANUALS: MS-100 MAGTRONIC HEADING SENSOR NAVIGATOR 2000 RITCHIE MAGTRONIC (electronic compass and heading system). Questions: 1.Are all the above related, i.e., all interface to create a complete ''Heading System''? 2. Recently replaced the boat engines and the digital display MD-100 flickers on and off. (May be related to number 3 below.) 3. Noticed that the black wire is not attached to anything. Per the internet site, it is called a ''GROUND''. Question: what is it grounded to?? I am in the process of gathering all the available instructions and see if it still usable. Any comments, suggestions, etc. will be greatly appreciated. William

Rich, I recently purchased Model #235-100 propane gas grill and want to RAIL MOUNT it on my boat. Any creative suggestions???

I've seen them mounted on a frame that hangs over the rail and sets into a rod holder (3 point support). make sure it's well outboard of the rail or you'll singe your boat

I have a 40hp four stroke about 6 years old. It has sailed about 100 hours. The motor strarts and is running fine to about 2000 rpm. Between rpm 2000 and 3000 the engine is running badly. I'll be grateful...

Change the oil seal at the top and bottom engine and service or rebuilt your carb. Clean-up all electronic gear under the engine flywheel maybe its wet by the oil mixed.

changing the engine sensor is easy when engine is cold and make sure you refill with antifreeze ,Buy sensor first so you know what to look for its not expensive from a motor factor .i honestly cant remember ever changing one on this model but it must be around the head area somewhere

Raymarine gps sounder

This is a common problem if the GPS is hooked up to an electronic heading sensor such as an autopilot. If the heading sensor is not calibrated properly, the boat will appear to be facing the wrong direction.

If you have an autopilot, consult the installation guide and perform the sea trial procedures. That should get your boat lined up properly.
