I have a Connex 3300 HP that transmits on frequency but receives a around 15 kc's off. The problem is not a VCO problem. Radio will not align through any adjustments. My common sense tells me that it is a short but I have not been able to locate one by pressing or pushing on board. Can you help? I have no schematic to this radio. Duck

I need the frequencies for this radio

Here's a list: Frequency Chart

Keep in mind - only those frequencies in "D" can be transmitted on in the US. These are the Citizen's Band (or C.B.) Radio frequencies. The others are above and below the FCC allotted range for CB. Transmitting on these other frequencies requires an FCC issued license.

You can face fines, imprisonment or both if caught transmitting without the proper license.

Radio receiving but not transmitting

There is a good chance you could have blown your final transistor. It could also be something is no malfunctioning in your mic. Is it on frequency? Hook it up to a frequency counter and make sure channel 19 reads 27.185. If it is your final transistor it blew for a reason. Most likely it got hot from a high SWR. 1-1:5 is the goal and no higher than 2. If it he SWR is higher then 2 the check your coax cables and adjust your antenna. Good luck.

Would like to peck recive on connex 3300 Wild Bill

peak receive? Not sure what you mean. You don't peak receive.

If you want to align the receive, then you will need some specialized equipment. Oscilloscope etc.

I need to tell what channel i'm on there's 240 channel's i can only reconize 40 of them

purchase a frequency counter. They are usually cheap. Try ebay. Get one for under $50.

this will give the the frequency you transmit on when you key it.

Connex 3300 c.b radio

The Connex radio is a division of Cobra, and no offense, but Cobras are one of the cheapest radios around. The problem with your Connex is a simple receiver malfunction. The receiver probably worked great until it was put into storage for a long time, you can replace the receiver, or you can fiddle around with the receive gain until you hear something. But you may just want to send it to a radio store and have it looked at, to be honest with you, Connex is a terrible radio, they sound good, but they're terrible radios. Go with Galaxy or Uniden radios, you won't be disappointed.

Adjusting the vr pots

A word of advice, never buy a radio second hand. Used radios are sold for some odd reason, and it may be because it is broken. And yes you can do it with your meter, you just have to tune the radio using Coarse and Fine adjustments, also use peaking if you know how, to get a better transmit and receive.

Good luck!

Connex 3300 hp

U mean on sideband? Frequency counter only useful on other than sideband operation. This does not mean the carrier insertion osc. is on frequency. If it needs adjustment, your voice will sound high/ low on transmit. Incoming signals will sound right after adjusting the osc.
