John, the rf connector is not replaceable, have to replace tuner, this involves removing the main board, unsoldering old tuner and replace with new tuner and solder it in. Not rocket scientry if you have the equipment and a working knowledge of how to un-solder & re-solder in the part. You didn`t give make & model number so can`t give you price or part number, if you decide you can do this repair, send me make& model number & I`ll look up part number for you, BMW Rider

John, bad news my friend, no longer available, does the set have AV input jacks on the back ? you can by-pass the tv`s tuner by using the tuner in a vcr and coming out of the vcr with 3 rca cables, do you know what I`m talking about? If not e-mail me back and I`ll explain better, remember your tv has to have video in & 2 audio in`s on the back so check that first, BMW Rider

I have a cobra 29 and noone can here me. I have an 18 inch antenna and brand new coax. The mount is on the mirror and the antenna wire goes right through the door to the radio I get rf output power fail...

throw that short antenna in the garbage you are wasting time trying to talk on it. as a rule of thumb your cb antenna should be no shorter than 36" try a longer antenna and see if that solves your problem it should

The temporary fix for this issue never lasts and it will soon break again. I have seen some shops charge over 100 dollars to get the TV working again, but later the part breaks off again. The threaded part that is broke is from the tuner that is on the main board.

The only real way to fix the problem you have is to purchase a new main board.

Next time use a "slip" connecter (not a threaded one) on the back of the TV for the cable connection.

I have a Janome New Home machine and I was using my buttonhole lever and it seem to get stuck and now I think I pushed it too much and it is off track or I broke it. Can I fix this myself? It won't even go...

Sorry, I didn't see your second posting with the model number.

I'm not sure which screw you removed, but the buttonhole lever mechanism requires the service manual to reset the position.

Broken Antenna Port

If you have already identified where the connection was on the board you will have to access the board to be able to solder back to the points where the old connector was. Once you have identified the two solder points (One should go to ground and the other if you can with the tv on touch it and see if a picture tries to come in or get rid of the snow). Then buy a matching transformer from radio shack or Home Depot, Lowes. Normally this would go on the outside antenna. But you want to take it and clip and strip the ends that have the forks. Solder this to the board, one to ground and the other to the point that would have been center on the old broken piece. This will have a 72 ohm or a connection that your antenna will connect to.

it can be fixed, it is called a tuner, if you can solder, you can order a new tuner from the manufacturer, and unsolder the old one , and solder on the new one

Paperclip broke off in my antenna jack of my TV

You could try a small, powerful magnet. You can get a magnet that is on a telescoping pole at some hardware stores - they're used to pick up dropped screws, and things like that. Something like this:

That might be strong enough to pull it out. As far as dismantling the connector - it's not really something you can take apart, or at least not something you can put back together afterwards. At best, you could open up the case, remove the connector and solder on a replacement connector. I think your best bet is the magnet pick-up tool.
