Re: Cant see it as device/ Alternate Question

To get music to it you need to connect it via the usb cable (connection at the top) and make a folder called "MUSIC" ( exactly like that without the inverted comas) and put the music in it.As for the copy protection you can google the term drm removal. The programs will allow you to remove the protection make sure that you use this in the psp (protected music)

How can I copy music from my store purchased cd to my psp device.

You rip the CD into a Media Player's Library. Say Windows Media player. Then when that's done, right click, open file location on the music on your library.
Then you drag & drop music into the MUSIC folder via a USB type-B cable, or MS Duo Adaptor! If s MUSIC folder isn't there, then create one!

Rep+ plz! :)

Tracks were synced but player says no tracks how

For the PSP you must create a music folder on the memory stick after the memory stick is formatted by the PSP. Then you add your music to that folder. More detailed instructions can be found at under PSP support and under manuals and search for copying music files.

Can i upload some music in my psp from my pc? is that free?

Yes, you can.
Yes, it's free.

You can upload MP3 files with no problem.
You can upload unprotected WMA files with no problem, but you have to first connect your PSP to wifi and accept the windows media player agreement.
You cannot play protected WMA files on the PSP. Here's how to transfer music. You will need a memory sick duo for the PSP for storage and a USB cable to connect the PSP to your PC.

1. Connect your PSP to your PC via the USB cable.
2. On your PSP's menu, go all the way left into the Settings menu.
3. Scroll up to the USB Connection menu and click X
4. Your PC should recognize your PSP. You can then access your PSP's installed memory stick just as you would any other drive. Let's say, for example, your PSP is now drive G:\ on your Computer. On your PC, click into drive G:
5. Click into the PSP Folder. If this folder does not exist, you can create it by clicking File --> New --> Folder
6. Click into the MUSIC Folder. If this folder does not exist, you can create it by clicking File --> New --> Folder

==> Here you can drap and drop [or copy and paste] all of your MP3 or WMA files and they should appear on the PSP's music menu.

Cant download music

try NOT going through media player as it tries to convert any audio. keep your files as mp3. preferably stored in "My music" file on your computer. then when you connect your psp via USB go to "open folder to view files" then open psp/music file. leave it open and open a "My computer" window my documents/my music, then just click and drag to psp/music file.
