Hmm..

What is the Operating system windows XP or previous?
i think you need to boot from Operating system CD, go through the installation process and when it asks choose the repair option.

when you get a Black MS dos based screen you need to type "chkdsk -r"

this may take a while, reboot and should be fine.

1005ha bios update usb

Upgrading BIOS is dangerous and can cause fatal damage to your PC. If you are aware of that and decide to take this risk, then continute. 1. Visit http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us, search 1001HA and choose DOS as operating system. Download latest bios rom file.
2. Save and extract the downloaded file. You will get a rom file named like "1301.rom" 3. Format a usb pen drive to FAT-16 partition. In my case I used a 32 MB SD card which came with my old Kodak camera, and I used a SD card reader that PC can see it as a usb disk. Copy 1301.rom to its root folder and rename it to 1005HA.ROM. The reason for renaming it to 1005HA.ROM is that EZ Flash on this 1001HA netbook looks up rom with this name. If EZ flash failed saying trying to find a rom file with another name, just shutdown the netbook and rename your rom file to the required name and try again. 4. Plug in the usb pen drive and reboot the netbook. Make sure that during the ASUS splash screen, press ALT+F2. Then EZ Flash will run automatically and try to locate the usb drive and read from file 1005HA.ROM (in my case). 5. It takes around one minute for me to upgrade everything. DO NOT TURN OFF OR EVEN TOUCH YOUR NETBOOK DURING UPGRADE. Read the messages on the screen and when it says you can press the shutdown button, you can turn off your system. 6. Turn on your netbook again and enter BIOS to check if the BIOS version is up to date.

Mp3 player keeps saying "no files" when i unplug

I had the same problem. I formatted it to FAT format and it started working again. It has to be FAT. FAT 32 and EXFAT don't work.

FORMAT ERROR

I finally figured out that when I format my Nano Plus, I have to select "FAT" from the "File System" drop-down list (even though the manual says you can select "FAT 32"). When I selected anything other than "FAT", Windows could not complete the format and the player would not get past the start-up logo.

After dropping my acer aspire one netbook it has started beeping when i switch it on and it won't load windows i press f2 to enter setup but get a msg stating "operating system not found. please help

It sounds like the hard drive might have been damaged from the impact but there are a couple of things you can check. First you will need to remove the hard drive cover at the bottom of the notebook. Then verify that the hard drive is properly connected. You might want to remove the hard drive and then re-connect it then see if the hard drive is recognized again. You could also remove the drive and install it into a desktop pc to verify the drive is functional. If the drive works in another pc then the motherboard for the notebook might have been damaged from the impact. Hopefully you will find it is just the hard drive was disconnected from dropping the notebook and that is a simple fix.

Pendrive is not playaing vedio files.

most likely your system is 32 bit kernel and and you have fat 32 most pen drives are fat 16 or fat 32. so it won't plat if it does not support 32 bit kernel.

Micro SD card is write protected, but can't seem to reformat it

you might try formatting it with a windows pc. Sometimes devices have problems with cards formatted by Mac. Even when it is formatted to a FAT file system. On a side note I don't believe that Macs will format to Fat 16 anymore. (Macs use a different file system that windows altogether). You may also check the card to make sure that there isn't a manual read only switch. (It would show a picture of a small lock next to a tiny switch on the card)

4gb sandisk will not in my Nintendo DS

please defrag the sony sandisk with windows defrag .
it will load after a defrag, if this doesnt work , check the integrity of the gaming software by nintendo.

also the format of the nintendo system may be fat 16, and your 4gb may be ntfs or fat 32. so this will not work if its fat 32 or ntfs system
check this into my computer ... right click disk managment
it will display the file system format.

I have an Acer netbook the when I sign in windows signs on then it says the file system on c needs to be checked )FAT 32) . It says the disc needs to be checked for consistency . The # is Vol S.#...

sounds like the operating system is unstable, many pc's do this drive check when the system has an error shutting down properly tpp. will it allow entry into safe mode at all (hit f8 when you start repeatedly) i repaired a pc with this error a while ago and the only fix was checking system settings for that pc and then if failing that a reinstall of operating system. Windows has an option to only reinstall and repair the windows files so you lose no work or files. Thios is really nifty id virus and spyware are not involved.

sound like the hhd is going .
backup all your files to some external hhd or to another computer.
use the Window Xp Cd to reformat eh hhd and reinstall Xp. if the format encounter hhd problem it will stop. in that case, you need to buy a new hhd and replace it. if not the format will go throught, do that twice and reinstall XP.
