Question about Computers & Internet
I can't see the screen unless I hold a flash light to it. It will stay on only for a few seconds. From what I've found through research the sensor for closing the laptop is stuck. Supposedy there is a pin to tap to get it to work but I can find no such pin. Just got the computer today and Toshiba tech. support was no help at all!
Good morning, Chase!
I'm not familiar with that particular model, but will try to help. Most laptops have a switch that is activated when you close the lid. These switches are normally located somewhere around the hinges. What you are looking for may be a small area (1/8"x 1/8" or smaller) that has a pad, or something, that can be depressed. That pad may be level with the surface, or located down in a depression or hole. It may be square, round "D" shaped or whatever. One hint is to look for a projection of some type that is normally located somewhere on the bottom part of the LCD bezel and that projection will activate the switch. I have seen them mounted on the lower outer edge of the lid, but that is usually found only on older units. And yes, it can be interesting to find some of them. ut, rest assured that it is there, somewhere..
I realize that this is kind of generic, but hopefully will be of some help.
