Have just installed Jade Empire SE once again on my computer and once again it says that my display driver is too old for the game. However this has never been a problem before, the game has always run perfectly. This time however all that happens is that i get the title screen up, then click on "Play" button and then i get absolutley nothing. I have gone to Nvidia and got the lastest drivers for my video card ( GeFroce 7600 GS ) and all the lastest directX driver as well. I am using Windows XP with SP Pack 3.

You should replace the video card with a new video card . I recommend you replace the video card with a NVIDIA video card. (Because NVIDIA is a sponsor of Empire Earth XD, you can see a NVIDIA logo in the Empire earth 2 intro)
I also have this problem. I have a video card Intel Mobile Chipset. I am aware that the Intel Mobile Chipset does not support the effect of an explosion in Empire Earth 2 :(

Graphics card

The below link is a decision support tool from NVidia. You may find this helpful because it takes into consideration the use that you want to get out of your card (video editing, gaming, high HD resolutions, etc):

http://www.nvidia.com/content/HelpMeChoose/fx2/HelpMeChoose.asp?lang=en-us

Depending on how new you are to this type of upgrade, this site may be helpful to you too (for the installation):

A good fit for you might be the BFG Nvidia GEforce 7600 GS OC (512 MB).

Which latest Graphic card can be supported by my Asrock P4i45GV?

Hi

Any video card that supports AGP x8 Should work on this motherboard.

For example Nvidia 7800 GS AGP or 7600 GS AGP should work fine.

But a better investment would be to upgrade the motherboard to a PCI-E supporting board and possibly AMD Dual or Triple / quad core processor the ram is very cheap for DDR2 these days.

Upgrade would be best in long run.

Garbled display with Geforce 7600GS

From experince I would still say this is a heat issue, I just went though this with my HD4870 ATI card. I was using an after market cooler wich was insuficent for cooling. All the symptoms point to a heat issue. Also since the card is 2 years old, its a good chance the VRM's have fried and any heat causes the card to basicaly shutdown in a manner of speaking. you could try getting the Accelero S1 cooler that would replace the fan on the card, then attach 2X120mm fans. Only problem is you can buy a newer better card. for example the 8600 GT is about 80-90$
