The service part number is 1301715 or 142966. you will need to check with the place you order it from on which part # is the more current. With shipping, the total cost should be under $20.00

if you can not find it, you can always email me.

thanks

Good day!!!

The problem could be on the DVD player and the lens of it.Please follow the D.I.Y procedures bellow:.
  1. Open the cover of your DVD by unscrewing it.
  2. Clean the DVD lens using CD cleaner.
  3. Try to use other new CD or the one with no scratch.
  4. Put an oil with the moving parts of it specially the side where the disc is stocked.
  5. If the steps # 1 to 3 are not successful. The problem could be on DVD lens.
  6. If the DVD lens is defective you better to buy a new player.Because the lens is expensive and it is not easy to install on DVD player.
Thank you!!!And hope to help you with all the best that I can...just consult or message me for any clarification or query..
and please don't forget to rate me and have testimonial....Thanks a lot..

In order to solve your problem, please answer the questions below:

1) Does the drive(s) light up when the unit is powered on?
2) Does the unit respond when the eject button on the front of the drive is pressed?

The drive is malfunctioning -- when it cannot read the CD-disk, it opens the tray. For less than $40, you can buy a brand-new CD/DVD-writer, and responsibly recycle the malfunctioning device.

Do a google search for the part(s) you're missing. There must be an after-market supplier you could buy these items from. You may even want to consider searching for the stuff you need on eBay. It's amazing the kinds of stuff you can find up for auction on places like eBay.

Internal CD ROM will Not Open

Unless you can do electronic repair yourself and have the schematics for the drive it will be far cheaper and easier for you to simply replace it. Any DVD drive for computers will fit in there. I would buy a new one rather than used so you make sure and get the software with it. Replacing the drive is a 30 minute job at most.

Inoperable cd tray on technics spl110 single disc cd player

Somehow the "gears" (side of tray has "teeth/gear" and wheel to the right of it has 'teeth/gear") which guided the cd tray were misaligned. With trepidation and fear of fully breaking it I lined up the tray and large wheeled gear to the right of tray.
At first I could get it to close to a certain point but it wouldn't go any further. I couldn't figure out what was stopping the closure but finally figured out the "teeth/gear needed further alignment.
During the repair found date CD player made was 1986 !!!! So I figured I'd just have to buy a new one. But it works like new and still sounds great
Go figure. Technics is a great brand.
What I saw as a white "wing nut looking" part had nothing to do repair. But during repair part of the front of repair dropped down and prevented closure. But there is a metal wire under tray which can be manipulated to control the piece which drops down.
Don't know how many Technics SLP110 are still out there but that's my story.

CD player ate a CD!!

I fixed the same issue by forcibly pulling individual trays to their open position.  I removed the casing to gain better access (tons of screws) but you can probably gain clear access to the shelfs without removing the casing if you have good needlenose plyers.  I found a stuck CD within one of shelfs, wedged WITHIN the moving components of the shelf.  It works perfectly now.

Cd tray not feeding

I had the same problem. My printer was sitting too far back in the cabinet and the cd tray was hitting the back wall when it was pulling it throuh. I moved the printer forward and the obstruction in the back was no longer an issue. It started printing all cd's just fine.
