Please try the steps below:

Manage trusted lists
Use the Trusted Lists pane to trust or block items that have been
previously detected and trusted. You can also remove an item
from a trusted list so that VirusScan detects it again.
1 Open the Trusted Lists pane.
1. Under Common Tasks, click Home.
2. On the SecurityCenter Home pane, click Computer &
Files.
3. In the Computer & Files information area, click
Configure.
4. On the Computer & Files Configuration pane, ensure
that virus protection is enabled, and click Advanced.
5. Click Trusted Lists in the Virus Protection pane.
2 Select one of the following trusted list types:
 Program SystemGuards
 Windows SystemGuards
 Browser SystemGuards
 Trusted Programs
 Trusted Buffer Overflows
3 Under I want to, do one of the following:
To allow the detected item to make changes to the
Windows registry or critical system files on your computer
without notifying you, click Trust.
To block the detected item from making changes to the
Windows registry or critical system files on your computer
without notifying you, click Block.
To remove the detected item from the trusted lists, click
Remove.

Whenever I open GoogleChrome this appears: Error 138 (net::ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED) I accidentally blocked the connection of google chrome to the internet & can't reverse it. I also added it to...

This is most likely your antivirus program (eg. McAfee Total Protection) blocking Chrome from accessing the internet. The firewall is blocking Google Chrome because the antivirus program no longer recognizes it - even though it is on the list of permitted programs. To fix this problem:
1. Click on Firewall > Settings 2. Click on Program Permissions 3. Click Google Chrome & the Delete button 4. Click the Add button 5. Browse for the Google Chrome.exe file (it should be in your User folder>App Data>Local>Google>Chrome>Application 6. Add the program and you're done! Please vote, if you like solution.. Printer offline. How do I fix

The issue is with the printer ports, we need to configure the ports for the network from the printer icon.

Please perform the following troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

1.Start, Control Panel, and then select Printer and Faxes.
2.Click File and then click Server Properties.
3.Select the Ports tab, and then click Add Port.
4.Select TCP/IP Port and create a new port.
5.Type the IP address of the Printer(which is printed in the network configuration page) and proceed with the onscreen instructions.

Follow these steps to unblock the HP programs and the required Internet ports.

Open the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory and then locate the following files:
  1. hpoews01.exe
  • hpofxm08.exe
  • hposid01.exe
  • hpqkygrp.exe
  • hpqste08.exe
  • hpqtra08.exe
  • hposfx08.exe
  • If the HP software installed on the computer is version 10.0 or newer, find the hpiscnapp.exe file.
  • If the HP software installed on the computer is version 9.0 or older, find the hpqscnvw.exe file.

Open the C:\windows\system32 directory and then locate the following files:
  • hpzwiz01.exe
  • hpznui01.exe

Make a note of or copy the file path for each file listed. The file paths should resemble the example: C:\windows\system32\hpzipm12.exe .

In the firewall software, make sure that each of these programs displays in the list of trusted or allowed programs. If any of the programs do not appear in the list of trusted or allowed programs, add the missing programs to the list manually

NOTE: The name of the list might vary, depending on the firewall program
If the firewall software has different trust levels or requires specific permission for a program to access the Internet, make sure you allow each of the HP programs to access the Internet freely.

Click OK or Save to save the changes to the trusted or allowed program list.

McAfee not updating

Some files might have been corrupted somehow.

As per the error, you need to uninstall Mcafee and then reboot the computer. Then once your windows boots back, re-install Mcafee from the CD you purchased. That should solve any corruption problems.

Need help uninstalling?  Click Start -> Run, then type appwiz.cpl and press enter. You will get the Add/Remove programs. Go down and select Mcafee Total Security and click on remove and follow the simple instructions on the screen.

Symantec trusted application list will not install

Norton Antivirus 2005 has lots of errors and problems specially with its updates and also its virus scan is not reliable. Norton 2005 can also corrupt your windows while updating itself its better you uninstall it completely and go for Norton 2007 or my favourite Mcafee Total Protection 2007 which has no problems with updates and has anti spyware, registry repair and lots of things. You can also go for AVG Anti Virus which is quickest of all
