Question about iLO 3200 32 in. LCD Television
This is a very a known issue with this set that caused a recall on this unit.
This is a unbelievable mistake by an engineer... He coded the remote wrong.... Let me explain.
On most set the remote works on a frequency that is locked to each button and each button has a very perfect frequency that is keyed to it, not on this remote.
The remote was built with the frequencies not set properly at the factory and when it got bad data from the remote the micro blows on the sets main board. I have spent weeks trying to bypass the data line no go they connected both the buttons on the set (less the power button) and the remote buttons on the same data line.
The only fix is to replace the main board and guess what it comes with a remote, they covered this under a warranty up until september '08. Mintek/Initial and ILO all had this issue (initial built all of them)
The new board comes with new software and new coding on the remote.
It should be around $100-150. I paid 108+10 s/h on mine (it was a ilo32hd and the part number was MPCB-E22440 ask them for a main board and they will provide the part number) Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
