I have a chrysler grand vouager an the electric sliding door does not work

Contact your local chrysler dealer. The wiring harness/track has been recalled due to them starting fires. If you vehicle is covered they will take of replacing the track/harness. If it is not covered a new harness is about $80 to $100.

If your good with automotive wiring you can remove the harness and replace the broken wire(s). You will see the harness plugged into the lower part of the door. The other end plugs into a connector behind the B pillar trim. Once it it out the tape and shielding can be removed and the broken wires will be pretty obvious. Take some pictures of everything to help reassembly it when your done.

My dads 1989 suburban won't start

Sounds like you have a dead short coming from the new fuelpump you just put in. Find the wiring harness plug coming from the sending unit and pull it apart and see if it is a green color. If it is try cleaning the ends of the prongs on plug, put back together and try it.Also did you happen to pinch the sending unit wires between the tank and mounting straps when you reassembled it?I hope this helps

Don't bother, you can by a new plug in with pigtail(wires) from any GM dealer.Trying to reassemble one of those would be maddening and probably wouldn't work anyway.Perhaps you could even get one from a salvage yard, then splice the wires according to color.Take care.

Optimus heater h-4438

Check on the heater coil using the multi-tester. Set it at Ohms 1 x 10 position.
1. Switch it off and disconnect it .
2. Disassemble the electric heater.
3. Put the multi-tester probe (red and black) at each
end of the heater coil.
4. If the reading is almost zero, then it is okey.
Otherwise, you have to replace it.
5. Then, reassemble the electric heater.
6. Plug it back to the electric outlet, and switch on.

Check hopper connector

Open front cover. On the right side towards the top, there is a grayish small cover with a black phillips head screw. remove this screw. Remove the small cover. Underneath this cover is a plug that connects the toner hopper to the machine. Reconnect this harness plug to matching plug on machine harness. Reassembly is reverse. Hope this helps.

Anyone ever have a problem with 929's frying harness connectors at reg/rect plug?

If the plastic plug connector is getting hot, it means you have a bad connection there. Try disconnecting the plug and dip the ends in a small glass of pool acid then rinse them in water. This will clean the connectors. Now slip a small screwdriver around the female connectors to tighten them around the male connectors. Spray a bit of WD40 into connectors and reassemble.

Drain gas heater for winter

On the side of the heater, you will see the water connections. Directly underneath them, on that black component that they attach to, there is a drain plug of some description. It may be a draincock, or just a plug. In either case, simply open or remove it to safely drain your heater. In a pinch, you could also disconnect the water connections at those unions (the big grey connectors), but they can be fussy to reassemble, and you run the risk of losing the o-rings.
