the tank overflows, or the bowl (where you sit). The tank should never overflow as there is an overflow tube within which will simply make it run continuously.

You'll need to adjust your float, so that it sits lower in the tank

Where do I fill coolant?

Generally now there is a plastic overflow tank, where you do this, and not into the radiator top neck. The cap there is usually not meant to be routinely removed. There will be a hose about 1/2" diameter from the side of the radiator top neck to the overflow/filler tank. Just follow that.

I don't know what vehicle/equipment you're referencing here. With that in mind, can you drill a hole or holes through the chassis just below the gas cap to allow water to escape?

There are 2 tanks on a radiator. One on top and one at the bottom. They are what seal the top and bottom of the radiator core. You will also find an overflow tank connected by a small hose near the radiator cap that connects to the overflow tank. The overflow tank is where you top up the coolant. One some coolant system, the overflow tank is pressurised and the "radiator" pressure cap is on the overflow tank, on others the radiator pressure cap is on the radiator and the overflow tank is unpressurised.

Antifreeze overflow from tank

I would check for visible cracks and leaking at the overflow tank when the engine is cold, then when the engine is running and at operating temperature and not running and at operating temperature as well as during cool down. Also check the coolant overflow hose for leaks or obstructions inside the hose or if the hose is kinked. Check to make sure that the overflow tank cap is damage free and securely fastened.

i"ve never heard of engine overflow tubes...but bikes do have overflow tubes from the coolant tanks. Coolant should not overflow from the tank unless under extreme heat conditions.eg: idling for long periods and constant stop and go traffic. If your bikes coolant system hasn't been serviced in the last two years you might want to do that. also i would change out thermostat and also make sure that your fan is turning on..if its overflowing the fan should be on because the thermostat sends a signal to turn the fan on.

Overflow tank appears to be leaking as I find fluid on the ground. the truck doesn't overheat or warm hot. how difficult is it to remove the overflow tank?

Before removing the overflow tank check:-
1) the pressure cap is of correct specification and serviceable,
2) the overflow tank is not over-filled- space most be allowed for normal expansion of coolant.
The overflow tank should not be difficult to remove if it is necessary.
