Envelope icon won't to go away

Go to settings
scroll down to notifications
scroll down to voice mail
then turn it off
if that dont work go to setting
scroll down to app
then scroll down to notifications and turn it off

Go to menu click on messages then go to voicemail and clear envelope!

first inactive ur voice mail service. then check outbox if any outgoing sms or voice mail r there then delete it.

that means you have voice mail. Just listen to it and delete.
You have to dial your voice mail and follow the instructions you hear.

Check with your carrier for service/repair options, regardless if you have insurance or not.

Your problem sounds like an average hardware/software issue that can be assisted with a Tech Representative of your carrier.

Why am I receiving a memory full notification? Memory full warning notifications are shown once the SMS memory reaches 80% full, which is 80 out of 100 SMS.
The notifications show up every time on receiving a new message. On reaching 100%, "Memory full notification" message is shown and no new messages will be received until we make space for incoming messages by deleting some from the inbox.
Memory full warning notices are shown only if "Auto Erase Inbox" is set to Off in Messaging settings (Menu -> Settings -> Messaging).
If set to On, then these notices are not shown. By default this is set to Off.

the voice mail key is the #1 key on the keypad as well it should have an envelope icon on the keypad as well, just press and hold the #1 key and follow the step by step instructions to setup you voice mail.

highlight the message in your inbox and press menu. You should have the option to unlock. Select that. tHen you should be able to delete them.
As far as your voicemail...
Call and leave yourself a message and then delete it. This will cause the voicemail system to send a message to your phone to remove the icon.
