Question about Konica Minolta Office Equipment & Supplies

New Konica bizhub C351 copier with only 58 copies. It will make copies but it has a 6 1/8" x 8 5/8" BLACK area in the center of the 8 1/2" x 11" copy if you make a copy from the platen glass. It does not do it if you print from the printer function. It does the same on both color and black and white on reduction or enlargement.We have changed the PWB-A "CCD" board, PCB-C board, ribbon cable that connects the two and the large cable that connects PCB-C down to the machine and still the same problem. If someone could call me @ 828.896.8888 we would be glad to compensate them for their services to help resolve this.

Gray box after installation.
CAUSE: Installation procedures were not completed properly.
SOLUTION: Complete the installation procedures thoroughly:
1. Adjusting Touch Panel - Press the Accessibility key, Touch Panel Adj.
2. Setting Gradation Adjustment - Go into Service Mode, Image Processing Adjustment, Gradation Adjustment. Service mode- ulilty/counter, check details , then(Stop00 stop01)
3. Touch High Compression Mode and press Start [perform 3 times].
4. Touch Gradation Mode and press Start [perform 3 times].
5. Touch Resolution Mode and press Start [perform 3 times].
6. Date/Time Setting - go into Service Mode, Press Stop, 1, 1, 4, 4, Clear.
7. Go into Utility/Counter, Administrator Setting, System Setting, Date/ Time Setting.
8. Install Date - go into Service Mode, System 1, Install Date.
9. Serial Number Input - go into Service Mode, System 1, Serial Number [If Serial Number is already there, Clear and re-enter it].
10. Unit Change - go into Service Mode, System 2, Unit Change.
11. List Output - Please Load 8.5x11 Landscape paper on Tray 1, go into Service Mode, List Output, and Touch Machine Management List and press Start.
12. Press Adjustments List and press Start.
13. Press Service Parameter List and press Start.
14. Press Fax Setting List and press Start.

This sounds like you have a piece of paper behind tray one.
1. Turn the machine off
2. Take out tray 1
3. Remove paper
4. Insert tray
5. Turn back on

If that doesn't help, you have and issue with the paper pick up motor. This is 99% of the time not the issue. The paper behind the tray is most likely your problem.

The copier automatically adjust the color calibration every ON/OFF.Clean the LED line located under everyimaging unit(black,yellow,cyan,magenta).

What does center erase mean on Konica Minolta Bizhb C351 mean?

If you needed to photocopy a couple of pages (side by side) from say a magazine or book. You would lay the magazine on the glass, opened on the 2 pages you want. You could use center erase to remove the area where the spine of the magazine would be. Thus avoiding the dark and blurred image traditionally associated with copying this kind of media.

I am trying to set the copier to black and white as default. I do not find in the manual where to change the settings.

1. Select black on the main copy screen. 2. Select the Utilities/counter button. 3. Select [DETAILS]. 4. Select [2. USER SETTING]. 5. Select [3 Initial settings]. 6. Select [Current Settings]. 7. Return to the main screen.

Konica bizhub C351 copier with a C9401 error code

1. Turn OFF the Main Power Switch.
2. Turn Main Power Switch ON again while pressing the Utility/Counter key more than
10 seconds after.
3. Touch [Trouble Reset].
4. Check to make sure that [OK] is displayed and the it has been reset.
5. Turn off the Main Power Switch and turn it on again more than 10 seconds after, and
make sure that the machine properly starts.
