"Processing Auto Configuration" keeps showing up on my screen. I have a Gateway FPD1530 monitor. It is annoying. Can you help me? Please!

"Processing Auto Configuration" keeps popping up on my screen. I have a Gateway FPD 1700 monitor. This problem has happened before (about 2 years ago) and went away on its own. I took it to my local computer guru who told me I needed a new monitor. When I got home, it wasn't doing it any more, but my LCG said he didn't do anything to fix it. I've tried unplugging everything. I was hoping someone else could help. It's really annoying.

I had the same problem on my PC which suddenly appeared out the blue and thought it was my monitor. However I have just uninstalled the Google taskbar from my Internet Explorer and it has now gone. I cannot believe this is the cure but my monitor does not show auto processing now at start up.

same thing. changed monitor settings to different scan rate, updated all drivers. happens with different machines. not a virus or other malware.

A blue rectangle started popping up on my screen saying "Processing Auto Configuration" It stays on for long periods, but occasionally disappears. It is in the center of the screen! Ugh!

The rectangle flashes on and off, however, the computer seems to work. What caused this? How can it be eliminated?

Check and see if you can tell that the Brightness and Contrast settibgs change (just like a computer always loadibg default setting everytime you boot up as you might know in that case it's the mother board battery that hols the bios settings) so in this situation the monitors battery might be going dead ( I am totally guessing but how else would it keep the brightness etc etc settings.

Check your settings in "Power Options Properties".
Control panel/ power options/ advanced/ under power buttons make sure you have "shut down" when you press the power button on your computer.
I hope I am understanding your problem correctly. If not pls. explain what you mean by and when processing auto config. keeps flashing. Is there a black screen or a windows interface?

Screen Problems

Why do you keep selecting auto configuration? You have the option of manual configuration, don't you? That is there in case the auto does not provide the results you want. So just set it manually to however bright you want.If it just will not go as bright as you would like, the remaining possibilities are aging backlight, inverter, or powerstrip capacitors which are all within your display.most re[pair shops will not even attempty a reiar of an LCD display, and if it turns out yours is deteriorating, you need to think about a new one. Unfortunately the problem with LCD monitors is that they just don't have anywhere near the life of a CRT.

Processing auto configuration keeps coming up on

First check to see that all of the cables are connected and fastened in tightly between the monitor and computer using the tiny handscrews on them at the monitor side and on the video card where it connects to your computer.

Also, the resolution detection circuitry in the monitor could be going bad, or you could have a bad video cable connecting it to the computer, or lastly, the video card in your computer could be going bad.

A few separate things you can try:

1. If you have a spare video cable, connect using the spare cable to the monitor and the computer to see if this corrects the issue.

2. If you have another monitor, I would connect it to see if you continue to have video issues.

3. Consider buying a new monitor.

The native resolution of the monitor is 1024 x 768, so set your computer resolution to that value. If necessary, restart the computer with the monitor powered on.

It solved by fixing 1024X786 pixel solution.if it not possible by fixing it..
Then look over the VGA driver is correctly support or not
if not then you have to update the VGA (Display) by drivers
