ILO DVDR05 DVD Recorder

Won't power up .. power supply only showing 7.5 vdc on one line ... no 5 vdc or any other that I can see leaving the power supply board. Maybe you guys have seen this before and could give me a suggestion as to what component failed.

Same problem and I'm seeing two obviously bad capacitors on the power supply card on mine, a 2200 uf and a 1000 uf. I'm thinking that's the problem, though I haven't tried replacing yet.

How do I fix a TV set power problem?

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

I want to convert this power supply for use with a battery charger for model aircraft. I need to know the color codes for the wires and also the pinout and which wire is the power on.

Pin Name Color Description
1 3.3V Orange +3.3 VDC
2 3.3V Orange +3.3 VDC
3 COM Black Ground
4 5V Red +5 VDC
5 COM Black Ground
6 5V Red +5 VDC
7 COM Black Ground
8 PWR_OK Gray Power Ok (is a status signal generated by the power supply to notify the computer that the DC operating voltages are within the ranges required for proper computer operation)
9 5VSB Purple +5 VDC Standby Voltage (max 10mA)
10 12V Yellow +12 VDC
11 3.3V Orange +3.3 VDC
12 -12V Blue -12 VDC
13 COM Black Ground
14 /PS_ON Green Power Supply On (active low). Short this pin to GND to switch power supply ON, disconnect from GND to switch OFF.
15 COM Black Ground
16 COM Black Ground
17 COM Black Ground
18 -5V White -5 VDC
19 5V Red +5 VDC
20 5V Red +5 VDC

/PSON activated by pressing and releasing the power button while the power supply is in standby mode. Activating /PSON connects the power supply's /PSON input to ground, thereby switching the power supply to full-on condition.
18 AWG is recommended for all wires except pin 11, which should be 22 AWG. For 300W configurations 16 AWG is recommended.
There are several ATX variants.
Hope this helps.
If this helps you resolve your problem, please
consider giving me a rating of 4.It will help me as well. Thank you.

I am trying to troubleshoot whether or not my ultra x2 connect 550 watt power supply is bad. When you press the power button on the computer, the light flashes and then noth9ing else happens. The light...

Well here is a way to check your power supply, on your hard drive connector using your volt meter and measuring from ground. this would be using one of two middle connectors it should measure +5 VDC on the red wire and + 12 VDC on the yellow wire. If these voltages are good then we got to see if the power supply is producing the -12VDC voltage. This voltage is ussed by the syustemboard on pin 14 of a 24 pin power supply. I would recommend not having your system board plugged in while measuring these votlages, but the power supply may need a load, I would plug in the cdrom.. Below are a couple of picture to explain this and a link to a website that has this documented.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html

dfish26_1.jpg The 24 pin main power connector was added in ATX12V 2.0 to provide extra power needed by PCI Express slots. The older 20 pin main power cable only has one 12 volt line. The new 24 pin connector added one line apiece for ground, 3.3, 5, and 12 volts. The extra pins made the auxiliary power cable unnecessary so most ATX12V 2.x power supplies don't have them. The 24 pin connector is polarized so it can only be plugged in pointing in the correct direction.
Pinout Pins 1 through 12 Pins 13 through 24 Description Wire color Pin number Pin number Wire color Description +3.3 volts orange 1 13 orange +3.3 volts +3.3 volts orange 2 14 blue -12 volts ground black 3 15 black ground +5 volts red 4 16 green PS_ON# ground black 5 17 black ground +5 volts red 6 18 black ground ground black 7 19 black ground PWR_OK gray 8 20 white -5 volts (optional) VSB +5 volts purple 9 21 red +5 volts +12 volts yellow 10 22 red +5 volts +12 volts yellow 11 23 red +5 volts +3.3 volts orange 12 24 black ground
Good Luck I hope this helps.

42" Vizio Power supply board output voltage?

The next thing I would check out is the power supply for the screen. Most manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board. If a part does go bad on this board, it would also cause the stand by mode or protection mode.

Same problem. red light flashes 3 times, but will not turn on.

Hi,

The blinking light means the controller QA01 in the AV_TERM system board is booting and driving the TIMER/REC RED LED light accordingly. This failure mode is true for many conditions, not exclusively for the main PS board PE0071. It could be caused by many things, LOW B, SEINE, AV_TERM, LCD, PROTECT, etc.

Specifically for PE0071+12VDC circuit failure, which is the most common , listen for the LINE relays SR80, SR81 coming online. If several (3) or more clicks are present when applying power to the TV set then suspect the +12, 20, +32 VDC inverter is faulty.

As a quick check, you can disconnect P807B. If the relays cycle every 1-2 seconds then is most definitely the +12VDC inverter. Check for voltage level at optocoupler Q881 pin 4 and this should not be cycling. This point is the VCC for the oscillator. Repair or replace board 75002913 as necessary.

TROUBLESHOOTING: (this is my own, not the OEM !, try at your own risk!)

  1. Check for LINE1 input voltage level at inverter on sheet [4].
  2. Check for LINE2 input voltage level at inverter on sheet [3].
  3. Check for STBY +5VDC & +25 VDC ( observe correct GND REF) page [4]of PE0071 POWER
  4. Check for +22 VDC out of regulator on page [3] out of Q822 Emitter
  5. Check P809B connector for :
  • P809B (12) POWER = 3.00 VDC (+/-0.2)
  • P809B (11) POWER_SIG = 0.00 VDC (HIGH to Power on TV)
  • P809B (10) PROTECT = 0.00 VDC
  • P809B (9) ACDETECT = 3.00 VDC (+/-0.2)
  1. Check for PFC_OUT = 368-371 VDC
  2. Check for +12, +20 & +32 VDC inverter page [5] of schematic manual.

For +12 VDC Inverter, suspect components:

Q880 STR-W6765 PSR (works really hot!!)
C888-C890
D884A and related switching circuit components.

Good luck,

1212hr power supply

The device runs on 5 VDC. There was an optional adapter available that used the keyboard output, that simply tapped the GND & +5 VDC. On the jack, the interior is +5, the outer contact is GND. The easiest way to power the device is to tap into a free line from your computer power supply. Alternatively, a transformer with 5 VDC 100 mA output should do the trick.
