Although the iTunes online store accepts debit cards the mobile apparently does not. The solution appears to be changing to an actual credit (not debit) card.

I'm also facing this same thing Well I was in USA and it worked fine but when I came for a vacation in Thailand, it doesn't let me buy apps or songs on itunes anymore It keeps asking for a valid security code and I've searched through google how to fix this problem but it's all useless. It's like putting the 3 digits in the back of your visa card right? I put it in but it doesn't work - -" please help!

My ipod touch only showed up as a camera ive tried everything to fix it ive even tried to go in to manage my computer selected my ipod (listed as camera) and went to update driver but when i went throught...

Apple media products such as the iPod Touch require the use of iTunes for managing media. Unfortunately, you cannot plug the iPod into the computer and simply copy media to or from it. You will have to install iTunes and import your media, then sync the iPod.

You can download iTunes here.

Once you have installed iTunes, open the program and connect your iPod. You will see it listed in the left pane. You will find support for iTunes and iPod on Apple's website. They have some very well-written support articles and videos that explain most of what you need to know to get started.

New itouch, downloaded apps will only open for a second. help!

Before I begin, I must state that my expertise is limited because of the small amount of details you have provided. I will post my best solution now, but please show more detail in the future.

I am assuming if the iPod touch is new, it is a 3G (third generation, not to be confused with the 3G data network). Either way, my solution would be about the same for the 1G, 2G, or 3G. I own a 2G right now.

The "only open for a second" problem is called "crashing". The fact that it is crashing could mean that you need the most security, available in Apple's latest software updates. Please try to download the latest update by reading the below instructions:

If you haven't already, please download and install the latest version of iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes . Then, plug your iPod into the computer via the USB cord that came with the iPod. After iTunes and your computer both recognize it, click on your iPod in iTunes. Then click Check for Software Update to download and install the latest iPod touch software directly from Apple for the most security.

Cheers and good luck,

DMKlunk

Cannot get into itunes via ipod touch just says invalid argument

What I would do is try downloading the latest version of iTunes and see if that works. If that does not try the following: 1. Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore." Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings. After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead. 2. The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like this. Follow the onscreen instructions. **On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer?s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed. 3. As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar. 4. After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it?s done. 5. Now you?ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod. Now you can sync the iPod with your computer and download your iTunes library again.
