The pick up rollers are dirty. You need to clean them with a damp cloth. These rollers should be just above the leading edge of the paper when loaded.

Paper jam but there is no paper

If the paper jam message wont clear, there is something blocking the sensor in the paper path leading the machine to think there is paper. Check the paper path for torn paper. Locate the paper switch/sensor and make sure it is clean and unobstructed.
If the jam message clears but when you go to print it comes back, you may have dirty feed rollers. Clean the rollers with a mild detergent or soapy water and a clean cloth. Do not use alcohol, this will dry out the rollers and shorten their life.

K eep getting message paper jam press select to continue x the jam has been cleared

the sensors that detect the presence of paper are either detecting paper that one cannot see, they are dirty or broken. if you have checked according to manufacturers specs on jam removal and still have a jam indication, that means a technician will need to be called to assist.

Paper Jam, Clear jam

This may be caused by a dirty sensor. Disconnect power supply, open the printer and clean everything. You may use toilet paper. Be careful not to leave fragments of toilet paper inside the printer.

Paper Jam message

This can be cause by the smalles piece of paper. Try using compressed air to plow out any dust or small papers that may be near the sensor. Then unplug printer and plug back in.

LCD Error message: Paper output slot. Thye paper is jammed. clear the paper and press OK.

A jam sensor may be stuck or have something stuck on it, causing the machine to think it is jammed. These sensors are normally located where the paper feeds into the printer, and where the paper exits the printer. Try forcing a sheet of paper through the machine in the direction paper normally. feeds. This may free up the jam sensors.

Clear Paper Jam error -- but there is no paper jam!

Sometimes while clearing the jam (if there was one) you may leave a bit of paper left behind which obscures a sensor causing it to think there is paper still in the paper path, or sometimes even paper dust can do it. Try a bottle of compressed air and blow the path out very well. Get a bright light (good flashlight) and very throroughly eyeball the paper path for any "foreign" objects...
