The standard SD card should be the one you will need in many sizes from 16meg to 4GB or larger should work.

I just recieved a xbox 360 console and am unfamilar with it. Does it require a use a memory card simalar to a ps2 machine ? Where can I get an instruction manual online ?

Hi panthur46,

Sadly, i can't provide you with an instructions manual since they're copyrighted material. But the Xbox 360 uses two methods of saving games. It used to have memory cards but right now the most common way to save games is by doing it on the console's hardrive (if one's aviable).

For manuals you should check the official microsoft page:
http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/get-started/manuals-specs.aspx

Hope this helped you!

My xbox 360 died and i bought a 2nd hand one. I purchased many arcade games from xbox live and they are saved on the memory pack. i have transfered this over and no it keeps telling me to unlock the games!...

You don't have to purchase them again. You need to register your new console with Microsoft and let them transfer the licenses onto your new system. This can be done on Microsoft's Xbox Website.

Cant put anymore songs on msd card but still has memory free

in cases like this, there is space that is allotted for it's own operation. This also happens with every single flash memory device that you can purchase. It's annoying, but there's nothing you can do about it. Hope this was helpful.

Profile transfer from old 20gb hard drive to 60gb one

When you turn on your new 360 (the 60 GB one), there will be an option on the dashboard that reads "Recover Gamertag". As long as you are connected to the internet, follow the instructions laid out. Just press A on the recover gamertag option; it will then ask for your gamertag, the e-mail address associated with it, and maybe a few other things. After that is completed, just wait for the switch to occur. It usually takes about 5-15 minutes or so, so just be patient. If you do not have internet access, you will need to purchase a 360 memory card. You can then go to the memory option on the last blade of the xbox 360 dashboard (the purple one to the right) and copy it from there. It will then be on your memory card. Then just do the same process to copy it from the card to the new xbox. You will also need to use the memory card if you plan on copying saved game files.

Memory

To save things, you will either need a memory card or a hard drive. (Both purchased seperately)

Storage device not found

Saving a game requires you to have a Hard drive or memory card did you purchase the premium edition xbox 360? you can look on the outside of the xbox 360 box it will give the specs and what came with the system. If the hard drive is not on the list then you will need to buy one the xbox doesn't come with any internal memory like the systems in the past have. you will need to purchase a HD or a memory card. If you have the premium edition let me know ill instruct on how to set it up.

Saving data on xbox360

Have you tried a different hard drive/memory card? It could be that your hard drive/memory card is not writing the data correctly.
