Depends on the printer - they are all different. Some do it by opening the lid, some need buttons pressing.

Can't get cartidge holder to stop in right place to insert new cartridge

If yours is an Epson printer, push the cartridge change button on the front panel twice. The ink carriage will retreat to the extreme right hand side. When you have loaded the new cartridge (s) push the same button twice. After a while the carriage will prime the new cartridge, the green light will come on and you may print. Other printers: For HP, open the lid with the power on. If all else fails,m I pull the plug. manually move the carriage, change the cartridge and re-power. Always try pushing the cartridge change button on the front panel first, however.

Renewing ink cartidge

Turn the printer on. Lift up the cover on your printer. You will here the cartridges moving, then they will stop, in your case, i guess in the center, but if not, just look and you will surely see them (they may be either in the center or on the left or right end of the printer). Then just put your hand on the cartridge and gently pull down. You will not break anything, promise :)

I cant change ink cartridge in my workforce500. the cartridge wont center itself so that i can open it and replace the ink

Epson has a Trouble Shooting Guide. Make sure that the 500 model number is showing on the top left. Select installing cartridges. Select Holder won't go to position. Then follow the rest of the instructions.

Here is the USER'S GUIDE, with instruction for changing the cartridges.

Hope this gets your printer working.

Good Luck

How to install ink cartidge? hp psc 750

1. Allow your injet printer to run entirely out of ink. Unless the quality of your images is suffering, there is no problem with letting your ink run low.
2. Open the printer door. It should fold from the top down toward the tray. When it is open, it should expose the inner workings of the printer.
3. Press the change cartridge button. It is at the top of the printer next to the power button.
4. Pull on the green top of the inkjet ink cartridge and remove it up and out of its holder. Do this gently so the printer is not damaged in the process.
5. Recycle the empty inkjet cartridge or have it refilled at an ink refilling center.
6. Carefully remove the tape from the refilled or new inkjet ink cartridge and insert the cartridge in the same orientation as the one you removed.
7. Push on the green top until the cartridge snaps into place, press the cartridge change button and close the printer door.
