How do i port forward to a minecraft server to my wireless laptop easy?

For this example lets say the minecraft server is on local ip 192.168.0.5 and using port 21000, default is 25565, for its connection in the config file. If your laptop is in the same lan (network) you would run mine craft and connect enter a server ip of 192.168.0.5:21000 No port forwarding required. If you want to access this server from outside of your network you will need to setup a port forward for 21000 tcp to go to 192.168.0.5. You would also need to know your public IP. www.ipchicken.com or just google "what is my ip" So now armed with your public IP lets say 74.132.132.5 when you want to connect to your server on your local network you would open minecraft and type for the server address 74.132.132.5:21000. Your router will see that it is going to 21000 and it will check your port forward rules "Oh this goes to 192.168.0.5". Please note most home users have dynamic public IP's this means they can change so you would have to keep checking your public IP to give to people. You can sign up for what is called Dynamic DNS such as DynDns.com This will associate a free domain name you choose to always point to the correct public IP you currently have assigned at home.

Just purchased new Belkin N+N 300 x 2. Have 2 PCs connected and 2 PS3s (1 mine, 1 my sons). Why does my PS3 (newer model) play on-line for about 2 minutes and then losses connection? help help help

sounds like a ip address issue. as in it might be assigning the same ip address from your ps3 to another wireless device (its fairly common) i would set the ip manually for your ps3 in the settings area to somthing like 192.168.1.139 or something higher in the last set of numbers (anything above 110) should help you out. also if your wep encrypted that may play a role in it. i sset mine to no encryption and just M.A.C. address lock. so no ip conflicts and no slow down.

HOw do you change the time on the mitel 5330 IP phone? mine is an hour out after the clocks have gone back for autumn

You cannot change the time from the phone. Your system administrator must change the time in your PBX. If you have the latest version, you can have your PBX sync with an internet time server and will never have to update again!

1720dn Laser Printer: printer offline. unable to set online....

I Open my browser....I signed in to my router as administrator ....
Mine is 192.168.1.1 ....
I went to status in my router ....
Then to local network ....
Then to DHCP Clients Table ....
This is how I found what printer address the was.... Then I typed the printer ip address into my browser
Mine happened to be 192.168.1.105 ....
Yours will probably be different....That got me to the 1720dn printer menu ....I clicked on Configuration ....
I clicked on Print Server Settings
I clicked on TCP/IP
I clicked on Set static IP address.
I changed IP address from 192.168.1.105 To 192.168.1.125
and Submit....Now you can get to the printer menu at 192.168.1.125

Go to run....
Printers & Faxes
Right click on Dell laser printer 1720dn
Properties. Ports ....
Add port ....
Double click on Dell Enhanced TCP/IP ....
I named the port My dell laser 1720 dn....Where it said enter a single IP address or host name I entered the new address 192.168.1.125
the clicked OK ....

Right click on Dell laser printer 1720dn
Properties....Ports
Choose your new port ....

to get the IP Address for WF719CAPR

1. Connect that device ( a modem? or a router?) to your computer via ethernet cable (Turn on your router or modem)
2. Click "Start"
3. Click "run"
4. Type "cmd" without quotes on the window
5. On the black screen type "ipconfig" without quotes and press enter
6. Check for the "Default Gateway" whatever's in there that's the default IP Address of your (router/modem) or maybe a different IP Address if the ( modem or router ) is not reset to default.

Check the codecs. Make sure you have the same codec at each end.

What devices do you have aside from the IP phone? Model numbers?

Change ip address of recently installed router

The 192.168.0.1 is the device IP.

Your trying to change the "Default Gateway" mine is set to 192.168.1.1

Let me explain (:
1.Go to start>run>type "cmd" without quotes and press enter.

The black screen should appar, in that screen type "ipconfig/all" without quotes.

And press enter.

This is what mine looks like:

I took out some things to my security, but basically this is what some of these things represent.

For you, your IP it shows would be something like:
192.168.1.101
Each device hooked up to your network gets its own IP it will start at 192.168.1.101 for the first device, then 192.168.1.102 then the next device gets 192.168.1.103,etc...

Your default gateway, 192.168.1.1 is where it starts, to change this go to:
  1. Open your browser
  2. Type in the browser 192.168.1.1
  3. Login to your router panel (the user an pass sometimes are admin/admin look in your manul for more info)
  4. Look where you can change your default gateway.
Here is a example of what mine looks like:

I hope this educated you, and helped you fix your problem for more help visit www.pc-fix.us or just reply here.

Thanks,
Cam
