Kenmore 60 series washer

My washing machine will not work at all. I checked the main circuit breaker in the house, reset it and still nothing. I also checked the wall outlet by plugging something else in and it worked. So it is definately a problem with the washer. What can I do?

No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Kenmore Washer won't power on 796.4002

Could be one of the following problems;

  • Power cord is not properly plugged in. (Make sure that the plug is plugged securely into a grounded, 3-prong, 120-VAC, 60-Hz. outlet.)
  • House fuse is blown, circuit breaker has tripped, or power outage has occured. (Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse. Do not increase fuse capacity. If the problem is a circuit overload, have it corrected by a qualified electrician.)

Start button doesn't work on King Size Washer

Are there any lights on at the washer? If not check the washer circuit breaker in your house main circuit breaker/service panel. If it is tripped reset it and try start button again. If it trips again you need a service call. If there are lights on try turning the washer main knob to off and unplug the washer from the wall outlet...wait 10 seconds then plug in and try start button again.

My top loading Kenmore Series 80 top loading washing will not run. When I noticed the motor would not engage agitation, I checked the circuit breaker and found that it had switched off. Turned breaker...

I would use a voltmeter and test the power to the motor. If there is power, then motor is faulty. If motor spins but not agitator then ****** could be bad. If no power to the motor, then a fuse or main circuit capacitor may be bad but testing with a manual and multi-tester meter will be needed to test for the failed componenent

Hello there and welcome to fixya
If your washer doesn't seem to work at all, check these:
No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped? try to unplug for 15 min then reset the home breakeer than plug in the machine again and try Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. To determine if the lid switch has failed, watch the part testing video . at repair clinic.com Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse. or it will fill but will stop after that
