Question about Hitachi CP-X301 Projector

1 Answer

When I go to displays there is no positioning or mirror displays option. The help option tells me there is only a single setting for this computer - MacBook 1 1. (I have the same problem as moolanlee - icons appear on desktop but are not projected by my Hitachi CPX5 projector.

I accept this solution. Let's see what happens under pressure in my classroom. Sometimes icons would display and sometimes not so I'm not sure why there was this variable.

To mirror the displays, go to "System Preferences" and click "Displays" if you are plugged into the projector two windows should pop up, go to the main displays window and click "Arrangement"(not positioning, sorry), now in the bottom left hand corner there should be that check box that says "Mirror Displays." There should be a check box there no matter what monitor your have plugged in.
Hope this helps!

Please note if you are using a G4 Mac, you can't mirror the displays because it's video card won't support it. Sorry if the solution I posted is invalid because of this. :(

If you are running tiger, go to "System Preferences" and click "Displays" if you are plugged into the projector two windows should pop up, go to the main displays window and click "Arrangement," now just drag the white menu bar from one blue square to the other.

The viewfinder screen is completely black. no image whatsoever. it seems like the camera is functioning everything works from what i gather

Since it's a film camera, there are a couple of things to check:
1. You have left the lens cap on.
2. If this is a single lens reflex camera, take the lens off and make sure that the mirror isn't stuck in the "up" position. If it is, GENTLY pull it down until it stays down. At this point, your shutter may be open. Try cocking the shutter again, fire off a test shot, and see if the mirror sticks in the up position. If it does, you probably need to replace the mirror bumper foam - age can make foam deteriorate into a gooey, tar-like substance that can make the mirror stick in the up position.
3. Does the camera have a T (for Time) setting on the shutter speed dial? If so, turn it off the Time setting and set it to a manual shutter speed such as 1/60 - or whatever your 'X' synch speed is.
4. Your batteries died in mid-exposure. Replace the batteries. You may have enough juice in them to show the viewfinder display, but not enough to finish the exposure and close the shutter.

HI, if you want to have the display show on your television, you have to configure the display settings first on the display setting on the computer. Just follow the steps : Step 1 : right click on the screen redmatrix_2.jpg
Step 2 : click on the display option
: redmatrix_3.jpg

Step 3: then check if you have an option to choose to extend the display on an external television. redmatrix_4.jpg

after getting the option, reboot the computer and the display should be showing on the television.

A few months ago my screen started distorting the picture now and then, and then would revert back to being fine. Now it stays mostly like that. I have it set up as an extended display from my laptop. I...

The resolution for the extended display could be wrong or on a setting the monitor cannot display. When you tell the computer to extend the display their should be a resolution drop down. Change it for the extended display monitor ( Click Advanced Display Settings or you may have to click the second monitor to see the resolution for it)

Can I run my laptop with the screen closed?

~ on your desktop you can check the display properties [Desktop Screen > RIGHT CLICK on an empty space > LEFT CLICK on properties > Go to Settings Tab then Click the ADVANCED BUTTON] ~ Look for your video adapter chip (usually Intel) ~ Go to Graphics Properties ~ Under Display device you should have 2 monitors there 1 for desktop and 1 for laptop ~ Single display is default, you should select the another one ~ After selecting it, Click APPLY then OK to SAVE the settings.

How to make mirror image of second monitor we cannot make the mirror image in our pc which is also connected with first monitor by rgb connector

Select CLONE, Y not spanned desktop. Clone and Span modes tell Windows that only one monitor is present on the machine. They don't give Windows control over individual monitors, but they don't require Windows to support multiple monitors either.

True Multi-monitor mode is different. Here, the display driver tells Windows the actual number of monitors attached to the computer. Each monitor can have its own display and each can have its own independent display resolution and color depth.

Does your computer have True Multi-monitor support? One way to tell is to right-click the Windows desktop and choose Properties from the popup menu then click the Settings tab of the Display Properties dialog box.
You MUST have latest drivers from manufacturers web site installed to. Us the control panel from that to adjust.

Menu display intermitent

display is disclosed which produces multiple visual displays in an intermittent manner which includes a display housing having a perimeter wall which is transparent during visual display and is an opaque mirror between visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing is a composite structure which preferably includes a transparent cylindrical substrate which is coated with an optical film and an opaque mask which defines display windows. Multiple visual displays are produced by a rotating display base which carries rows of rotating display elements. Preferably, the display elements are elongated triangular elements having three image faces which bear images which create the visual displays. The triangular display elements are arranged in a triangular configuration wherein the rows intersect one another at acute angles and are carried by the rotating base. The rotating base includes three display positions and each of the triangular elements includes three display positions. A stationary observer would see nine different visual displays and may see themselves mirrored in between and during the changes of visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing becomes transparent as the triangular display elements are backlit along their entire length by elongated fluorescent or neon light tubes. When the light tubes are off, the cylindrical display housing is an opaque mirror, preferably, about its entire periphery and height. Other embodiments of the invention include a single row of triangular display elements, and a rotating display base which includes display faces consisting of only a single display element.
