Solution provided by leecom72 in Sep09 is NOT for Asrpire 5670 ! Keyboard bezel does NOT come out that way at all - there are screws at the back that hold it etc.

How to take off keyboard laptop acer 5670 ?

Hi there !

It is easy remove the laptop keyboard for acer and here's how to remove the keyboard.

Use philip screw driver and pointed knife to remove the lock buttons located in both left side and right side, and top side of the keyboard. You have to start removing the lock from the top side and then in left and right side. Each lock button you unlock, you have to flip it not to return the lock. Gentle flip it up not to damage the ribbon connection at the back of the keyboard. Once you see the ribbon connector, release the lock and remove the ribbon connector. That it and it is finish. Do what ever you. If defective, replace it and if it dirty, clean it gentle.

I hope it helps you and Good Luck.

Acer Aspire 5670 - Keyboard and mouse appear frozen unless used in safemode

You can restore the settings of your computer to a known good date. While in safe mode, do a system restore.

Click on Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Select a date when the computer was still working great. Launch it. Let it restart by itself.

Once up inside the normal windows, update all device drivers. You can install RadarSync to scan and update all outdated drivers.

I hope this helps!

There is a small hole on the face of the tray which is used to open the tray in this kind of situation. Use some needle and push into the hole. If the tray does not come out, you have to open the laptop and remove the tray.
