    Thanks for the prompt reply!

I have checked all rollers etc.. and cannot find any paper. This was the first thing I did check prior to contacting FixYa.

Could a sensor be blocked by something else or can I do sometype of reset.

Make sure that there aren't any tiny pieces of paper stuck in any of the rollers or gears. This can cause that as well.

Check that the type of paper being used falls
within the printer manufacturer's recommendations. For example, paper
designed for ink-jet printers doesn't necessarily work well in laser
printers. High-quality, bonded paper will cause paper jams in some
printers; look for bonded paper that is "laser and ink-jet compatible."

    nspect the
printer's paper rollers. They should be smooth but not shiny. Rollers
that are cracked or glazed are a frequent cause of paper jams and
should be replaced by a technician.

Try cleaning the printer's paper rollers with a
lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol (available at electronics shops
    or drugstores).

Try changing the toner or ink cartridge.

If you hear a clinking sound during printing,
your printer probably has a broken gear and needs to be serviced by a

My paper jam error will not clear, on an above answer it says to check the sensors..I don't know where to find the sensors. There is no paper stuck in printer, the paper was pulled out whole.

Unplug the printer for about 5 minutes and try again, if still gives error, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. If that doesn't work try running a heavier stock paper (thicker) through the printer following the normal path, sometime the tiniest piece of paper will causea jam error message.
Here is a link to the user manual in pdf. Just enter your email, enter the captcha code and you can download the manual which should have sensor locations and troubleshooting information.
Hope this helps

Paper jam is now clear ,still shows error light and con like there is still a paper jam how do i clear this error. machine will not operate

If you reset the copier by open and close the top scanner, by moving it left and then right, and you still have a paper jam error on this model there are only 2 options one that there still a piece of paper holding the switch, 2nd option is that the switch is broken or out of place. If you remove the paper from the fuser, the left side of the machine, where it exit, your only option is to take the fuser unit out, and check the switch, recommended for technician only!!!
If you found the paper at the right side of the copier, take out the cartridge, lift up the metal plate on the bottom, swing it up and look for the paper.
Good luck.

Canon Imageclass MF4370dn constant paper jam errors

Inside the back panel there are paper sensors attached to lever, a small spring connected to lever to keep its home position, the spring may dislocated from its position or the lever sticked to the base. some times a small piece of paper sticked at this may cause the problem.

Paper jams, it won't pick up paper from the tray, jams every time. Have tried different paper but that doesn't seem to help.

Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
Turn off the printer.
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

Print out blank pages after clearing a paper jam

Have you checked the obvious things? Such as pulling the tape off the new cartridge? Also make sure the transfer roller under the toner cart. is in securely.
