Question about Bell Lands Phones
These phones have re-rechargeable batteries in the base unit.. These batteries are supposed to light up the display. the display when on consumes quite a bit of wattage. i.e. when the display lights up. Under normal circumstances when a call is being received, the display stays lighted up for a min or 2. Under normal circumstances, the AC power adapter supplies the current which are stored in the batteries. After any power outages, now that the phones do not have new or fully charged. Thus the display lights up but the batteries get discharged very quickly and therefore not able to display all the info. Its time you replaced these batteries on all similar phones..................sodeep

Unplug the base for about 15 minutes.
put each phone in the base one at a time. observe the power light, it should flicker. repeat that step with each phone you have.
the phone must be initally place in the base not the spare charging cradles.
