Drum? glass? on faxphone?

How do I check drum? Is there on on faxphone?
Does glass come out to be cleaned?
Recipients say my faxes are too dark....entire page.
If I use faxphone to make a copy, my copy is blotchey, dark, and has dark, fine black vertical lines 1/16 apart that are not on the original.
If I need to disassemble........I do not know how!
Sorry I am being a bother.
Thank you!

I think this fax phone uses ink. there is possible dirt on Contact sensor glass. you can use a damp in iso cotton bud or cloth to clean it.

Your scanner glass is caked with ink or lint. Open front cover and clean with windex or rubbing alcohol.

Our faxes are being received with a large/thick

Look on the glass where the scanner is and sometimes a lot of White out gets stuck on the glass, clean with windex and dry good.

If it's a lazer fax, look on the rollers for toner build up around the fuser section. Clean with Alcohol.

The drum blade is leaking or is worn out. You need a new cartridge.

When I fax the recieptent is getting 2 big black lines..........ive tried cleaniung it but not sure if im cleaning the corredt parts..........there a little glass part that looks like there may be ink

Open the auto sheet feeder (where you place your originals), look underneath and you will see a narrow "scanner" glass that the originals are scanned across. Clean this thoroughly with glass cleaner (or water) - there is probably correction fluid or some other foreign dirt on it. If you make a copy for yourself (before and after) it gives a good indication of the quality you are sending to fax recipients.

good luck, and please rate solution

RECEIVED FAXES AND/OR COPIES PRINT ONLY HALF PAGE

Don't know that machine all that well, but it sounds like the laser filter glass may be dirty, or the laser unit. It seldom happens, but did you by any chance blow it out with compressed air?
Anyway, you may try taking out the toner cartridge, and if you tilt the machine upward you should see a sort of 'filter glass" above where the cartridge sits that allows the laser light to pass through from above. try cleaning this with a cloth, and hopefully that will solve your problem.

Copies here and recipients faxes: dark, lined

How long has the drum been in there?
try this:
1-take out toner, look and see if it is ok. do you see stripes on it?
2- look at the drum are there any black rings on it? ( you did not specify white or black lines)
3- where the glass is on the opposite side ( the part you lifted to clean the glass, look at it standing from the back. you will see a white metal plate with some springs in it if you touch it. this is the reference that the fax has if there is/are a black dot on it it will give you a black line clean carefully. if it is scratched use white out to cover and make white again.

For the darkness try making a copy in photo mode if it is still too dark change drum.
